With the rights we are guaranteed under the charter of rights and freedoms we also have certain responsibilities for society.
The responsibilities we have are as follows:
We must obey the law even if we disagree with the laws themselves (“Rights and Responsibilities,” n.d.).
We must all serve in a jury when we are called to do so (“Rights and Responsibilities,” n.d.).
We must all vote in elections including federal, provincial, and municipal elections (“Rights and Responsibilities,” n.d.).
Finally, we must all provide assistance to our communities through volunteering or other avenues (“Rights and Responsibilities,” n.d.).
The video below explains the rights and responsibilities of Canadians which some may find useful.
