On the 28th November 2009, I avoided my first tonne of CO2. It took 21 days of energy production to achieve this milestone.
My first megawatt hour was produced on the 3-12-09, just 26 days since the system went live. A megawatt hour is enough energy to run 1000 homes for an hour.
This image captures it all: 54 days after being commissioned, I've generated 2MWh, avoided 3 tonnes of CO2 and earned $1,000.00 of income. My annual energy bill is around $2,200.00 so I'm roughly half way toward negating my energy bill. Beyond that I can start paying off my loan.
At 78 days, 3 Megawatt hours of electricity have been produced, more than 4 tonnes of CO2 have been avoided, and the system has generated more that $1,500.00.
At 178 days, 6 megawatt hours have been produced, more than 8.5 tonnes of CO2 avoided, and earnings have reached more than $3,000.
