- Page 93 - Series 1897 Snuff Strip Stamps -- Re: 20 lbs, "Over 40% Moisture" -- An unfinished production proof in Red of the left half only of this stamp was sold on eBay recently. The outer "20" is present at the end of the stamp, but the surrounding filigree is missing. The issued stamp in Black is RS58. (Also see 25 June 2024 below.)
- Page 94 - Correction to descriptions of RS103 and RS104 -- Delete the "on 2c." in each listing. They should simply be "4c. on 1/13 lb". (Thanks to Eric Jackson for pointing out the error.)

- Page 93 - Series 1897 Snuff Strip Stamps -- The right half of a die-proof has been seen in RED of the 5 lbs - "Not More Than 40% Moisture" stamp courtesy of Darrel Staley. The issued stamp would be the red counterpart of RS54 & RS59.

- Page 8 - Delete RM10 -- Blue, square stamp, perf-11¾ -- The stamp that was the basis of this listing has been examined. The perforations are the fake perf-12 described in the Notes on page 62 of the catalogue.

- Page 37 - RP699 -- Series 1897, Green 1/9-lb -- has been found with albino impressions of the serial numbers, which are readily observed from the back of the stamps. Very little or no trace of the red ink is present in the impressions of the numerals.

- Page 39 - Re: Note regarding Paste-Up Stamps.
A copy of RP730 -- Series 1915, 1/20-pound, imperf with blue serial numbers -- has been seen as a paste-up. Like most examples of these paste-ups, this used stamp has a serial number that is a multiple of 30. The stamp is well aged and Its roller cancel is unreadable. The 1/20-pound denomination of Series 1915 continued in use through the Series "A" and "B" periods into 1935.
