About the Rosary

Reciting the Rosary as a Group

When 2 or more people say the Rosary, everyone says The Apostles Creed.

One person says the first part of the Our Father, Hail Mary and Hail Holy Queen and announces the mysteries.

The others say the second part of the Our Father, Hail Mary and Hail Holy Queen.

The entire group says the Glory Be to the Father and the Fatima Prayer.

Indulgences

An Indulgence may be received when we recite the Rosary alone, as a family or a community.

We can gain Partial Indulgences for the souls in purgatory or ourselves.

Souls in purgatory are being cleaned or purified while waiting to gain entrance in to Heaven.

Our prayers and good works offered for all the souls in Purgatory, or a particular soul in Purgatory, help those souls get a little closer to Heaven, maybe even gain entrance into Heaven.

There are 3 conditions to receiving Indulgences:
