Once you have decided on an issue you would like to investigate further, you will need to begin the research project. We will begin by organizing what we know, what we wonder and where we will look for information in a KWS chart.
KNOW
Write down all the things you think you know about your topic. You may choose to use sentences or point form in this column.
WONDER
What do you want to find out about your topic? Write a list of at least five question you would like to answer about your topic.
In this column you will record all the questions you still have about your topic. These should be full sentences that end in a question mark.
SOURCES
Where will you find the answers to your questions?
Think of the different places that can be accessed as sources of information to answer your questions.
