CamRyn B. Stillman, of Little Rock, Arkansas, is the Associate Director of Choirs at Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. CamRyn teaches Music Appreciation, Musical Theatre, and Piano I in addition to conducting and assisting the various choirs at Parkview. CamRyn sponsors the Gospel Choir Club at Parkview. Choirs under CamRyn's direction consistently earn "superior" ratings in performance and sight-reading at choral performance assessments. CamRyn's students have been chosen to participate in Arkansas All-Region and All-State Choirs in addition to AR-ACDA and SWACDA honor choirs.
Before joining the music staff at Parkview High School, CamRyn was a music teacher at Fred Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge, Virginia. From 2016 to 2019, CamRyn was the Director of Choirs at Pinnacle View Middle School in Little Rock, Arkansas. While at Pinnacle View, CamRyn was tasked with building a new choral music program and was a part of the inaugural staff upon opening the school in 2016. Upon departing, Pinnacle View's choirs grew to 170 students; placed several students in the All-Region Choir; earned ratings of "superior" and "excellent" in performance and sight-reading at Invitational Festival, Region Choral Performance Assessment, and Junior High Honors Festival; and actively performed around Central Arkansas often collaborating with the other fine arts at Pinnacle View as well as other choral programs in Little Rock School District.
In addition to his teaching duties at Parkview, CamRyn is currently pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Music Education from the University of Memphis. CamRyn holds a Masters in Music Education from George Mason University and graduated magna cum laude in 2016 from Henderson State University where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Choral Education Degree. CamRyn is an active scholar, clinician, conductor, pianist, and choral singer in the Central Arkansas area. CamRyn is the State President for the Arkansas Music Educators Association, the Tenor/Bass Choir R & R (Repertoire and Resources) chair for the Arkansas chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, and is a member of Alpha Chi national college honor society, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia of America fraternity, the National Association for Music Educators, and the American Choral Directors Association.
