Camp Rainman 2026 Instructions
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transportation to the campsite from Bossier City so please plan on driving.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but due to insurance changes, we are no longer able to provide this service.
Camp starts Monday, June 1
We are going to :
Clara Springs Baptist Encampment
4420 Hwy 177
Pelican, Louisiana 71063
Registration is at 3pm!
Directions to Clara Springs:
Take ramp onto I-49 S toward Alexandria. Go for 36.8 mi. Then take exit 162 toward Pleasant Hill onto LA-177 (Highway 177). Go for 4.0 mi. turn left onto Highway 177 (LA-177). then 2.0 miles, turn left onto Haire Loop. Go for 164 ft. then 0.03 miles turn right onto Wallace Rd. Go for 75 ft. Then 0.01 miles to Clara Springs.
Things to bring to Camp:
Suitable Clothes. shorts and a t-shirt is the preferred attire. Send enough for 4 days. For Girls: No bellies, breasts or skimpy shorts please. Underwear for 4 days.
Comfortable shoes. Tennis shoes (required!) in addition to some sandals or water shoes to wear to the pool. We walk a lot and sandals are not suitable for that. We have seen some nasty blisters in the past.
Towels and washcloths. (3 bath towels is usually sufficient.)
Pillow, sheets and blanket or sleeping bag. We are in air conditioned cabins and it can get cold.
Toiletry items: Shampoo, soap, deodorant, comb & brush.
Sunscreen
Swimsuit (all girls are required to wear a one piece bathing suit or wear a t-shirt over a two piece)
All clothing should be packed in individual clear zip lock bags and labeled with your campers name. One gallon size bag should hold a shirt, shorts and underclothes for one day. The exception to this are campers that are capable of keeping up with their own clothes and dressing themselves.
Mesh laundry bag (Dollar Tree) for dirty items. We will hang wet items out before they get put in the bag.
PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS: clothes, towels, bedding, toiletries, cell phones, tablets.
Thursday June 4 is the last day at Camp.
Thursday, June 5 is Thurthe last day of camp
