I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at SITE - Stockholm School of Economics. Before joining SITE I was an Assistant Professor at University of Calgary. I hold a PhD in Economics from the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) at Stockholm University. I am also affiliated to the Dondena Gender Initiative. My research interests are in Political Economy, Environmental Economics and Gender Economics.
In my current research, I study empirically the determinants of the quality of the environment in which we live, and of the inclusion of women in modern societies. In studying the determinants of the quality of the environment, I focus on the role of media scrutiny in holding corporations accountable for their environmental standards. My research agenda in gender economics studies the determinants of women's employment and participation to politics, and of gender attitudes.
