Postdoctoral Position in Non-Equilibrium Many-Body Physics
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral position at the interface of quantum statistical mechanics and open quantum systems.
This position is part of a 3-year project funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (CEFIPRA). The postdoc should hold Indian nationality. The initial appointment will be for 2 years: 1 year at École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris, and 1 year at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS-TIFR) in Bangalore. A third year will be offered if performance is satisfactory and funds are available, within the project duration. The nominal starting date of September 1, 2020 is negotiable.
The candidate will benefit from the very stimulating research environments of both physics departments at ICTS-TIFR (and the Bangalore area) and at ENS (and the Paris area).
The main subject of interest will include many-body physics in open quantum systems, understanding non-equilibrium phenomena both from a fundamental perspective and from the point of view of applications.
Postdoc candidates are expected to have solid knowledge in statistical physics and have an interest in non-equilibrium quantum physics.
The deadline is December 31st, 2019, but applications may be considered after.

Postdoctoral Position in Condensed Matter Physics
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral position at the interface of out-of-equilibrium many-body physics and neuromorphic functionalities in correlated materials.
This position is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) and is part of a 4-year collaborative project between the LP-ENS in Paris and the LPS in Orsay. The initial appointment will be for 2 years, a third year will be offered if performance is satisfactory. The starting date is negotiable.
The successful candidate will benefit from the very stimulating research environments of both the LPS and the physics department at ENS (and the Paris area at large).
The main subject of interest will include many-body physics in open quantum systems, understanding non-equilibrium phenomena both from a fundamental perspective and from the point of view of neuromorphic applications.
Candidates are expected to have knowledge in many-body theory, solid numerical skills, and have an interest in non-equilibrium quantum physics.
The application must be done though this website https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/15549. It must include a cover letter, a complete CV including a list of publications, and at least two letters of reference from senior scientists.
The deadline for applications is December 31st, 2019, but applications may be considered after.

2 PhD Positions in Condensed Matter Physics
We are inviting applications for two PhD positions at the interface of out-of-equilibrium many-body correlated systems and neuromorphic computing.
These positions are funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). They are part of a 4-year collaborative project between the LP-ENS in Paris and the LPS in Orsay.
The successful candidates will benefit from the very stimulating research environments of both the physics department at ENS and at the LPS (and the Paris area at large). One position will be officially at ENS, and one at the LPS.
The main subject of interest will include many-body physics in open quantum systems, understanding non-equilibrium phenomena both from a fundamental perspective and from the point of view of neuromorphic applications.
Candidates are expected to have a basic knowledge in many-body theory, basic numerical skills, and have an interest in non-equilibrium quantum physics.
