We don't currently have any open positions for postdoctoral researchers. The School of Physics and Astronomy welcomes applications from candidates interested in applying for external funding for personal fellowships. Find details here. If you are interested in applying for a postdoctoral fellowship to join the group, then please get in touch.
Applications for admission to PhD studies at the School of Physics and Astronomy may be sent at any time of the year, but there are deadlines for specific funding routes, mainly in January. Typically you will make an application to the school, and they will identify which funding routes you are eligible for; it can still be worth getting in touch even if some of the application deadlines have past. Details of how to apply and the various funding options can be found here. Note that we do not have specific open PhD positions within the group, but applications should be made to the school, indicating that you are interested in working with me.
You can find details of projects on the School of Physics research opportunities web page under 'Condensed Matter & Complex Systems'->'Physics of Living Matter'. The following advertised projects are typical of work in my group, but I am also open to discussing other research ideas:
Please get in touch to find out more, or to talk informally about the application process.
