Cover-Characters from each season and the BotCon story come to life as an AllSpark Fragment hits the book.
Lots of the pages complied from the previous Almanacs are the same, so I'll point out where there are differences.
Pg 42-Erector was designed as part of a gag video for the 2011 Transformers Hall of Fame. He first appeared officially in the 2011 BotCon comic, "A Stunti-Con Job". Also a erectile dysfunction joke. Got your laughs out? Good.
Pg 44-Rad is all new character, based off of the Generation 1 Action Master, and uses Animated Jazz's body type.
Lionizer is based of Generation 1 Rad's Action Master partner, and is a recolored version of Animated Steeljaw. Animatron is the Jungle Planet from Cybertron, the name given to it by the second AllSpark Almanac. Mutacons and Neutronia were introduced in the Covenant of Primus. The Magnificence is an artifact from the IDW Generation 1 continuity introduced in Spotlight: Hot Rod. Cybercats were first mentioned in the Cybertron episode "Challenge", and have become a catchall for Cybertronian big cats since then.
Metalhawk is based off of the Super-God Masterforce character, using the Jetfire/Jetstorm body. His interest in organic life stems from his Pretender origins. Operation of Fortitude is named after the real life WWII military deception Operation Fortitude. Metalhawk is part of Project: Aerialbot, named after the Generation 1 subgroup.
Pg-69. First Aid is based off the Generation 1 Protectobot, using Bumblebee's body. The original Protectobots in the Animated continuity were the renamed Protectons, themselves named for the heroic faction from Robotix, who overthrew Zeemon Magnus, as noted in the second Almanac. First Aid worked under Pharma, an Animated version of the IDW character, who IDW First Aid worked with. Fixit was previously mentioned in Animated Minerva's bio, a version of the Generation 1 Micromaster. First Aid is noted to have worked on Ultra Magnus after he was attacked by Shockwave, as seen in "Where is Thy Sting?"; that event was summarized in the second Almanac, which had a medical report from First Aid.
Pg-70-Glyph greets Jim and Bill with the phrase "Challa, collanda," a form of universal greeting from Jack McDevitt's novel, Omega.
Pg 77-Nook and Night Watch are all new. Energy conductors rods were seen in the first episode of original The Transformers cartoon.
Pg-78 Crumplezone's line has been removed from the Sideswipe entry.
Pg 81-The reason why Hubcap hasn't seen Jackpot in a while is presumably because he's stuck in Axiom Nexus, as seen in "Invasion: Epilogue". Sharkticons are from The Transformers: The Movie. His TFSS body is explained as being won in a game of Triad, a card game from Battlestar Galactica.
Sights is another newly created character for this book, based on Generation 1 Jackpot's Action Master partner, and is a recolored Laserbeak. Presumably, he was among Buzzsaw, Sunder, Garboil, and Wingthing as Soundwave's prototypes for Laserbeak and Ratbat, as noted in the second Almanac.
Most of Minerva's bio is straight from her customization class booklet.
Pg 82-Drift is based off the IDW character, using Blurr's body type. Originally mentioned in Dai Atlas' profile in the second Almanac, he was a former Decepticon, like his Generation 1 counterpart, and left the Decepticons after events on Devola, a planet from Armada episode "Awakening"-IDW Drift would leave the Decepticons, as seen in his titular mini-series, and 2012's Robots in Disguise issue 7 would reveal the planet Dabola (the actual spelling, according to the script for Awakening) as the planet that was the final straw for Drift. Tekkaido is from BotCon 2001 Arcee's bio, and Metalikatto is from Generation 1 Bludgeon's tech specs.
Nightbeat is based off her Generation 1 counterpart, in the Arcee body-type; her personality is inspired by fellow "girl detective," DC Comics' Batgirl. Sideswipes lines about her having "a cool head on her shoulder" and "want to put a muzzle on her" references her Generation 1 counterpart and his Headmaster status-his Headmaster, in fact, is named Muzzle.
Pg 136-Bugly is based off the Generation 1 Pretender. In keeping with Blackout being the only survivor of the Heavy Brigade as established in the previous Almanac, all the profiles on this page are in the past tense, with Grinder's mentioning that the Wreckers offlined him. Like his Generation 1 counterpart, he is a master of Circuit-Su.
Grinder is based off of Revenge of the Fallen Grindor, and is originaly from the Japanese Animated card series, Transformers Cards. The Romanization on his card mispelled his name with an e, but when the Animated Grindor (based on the Armada Mini-Con) showed up in the BotCon 2011 comic, this proved fortuitous. Tox-En was introduced in the Transformers Prime episode, "Toxicity".
Venom is based on the Generation 1 Deluxe Insection, and was previously shown on the BotCon 2011 Animated lithograph. Mech-Venom is a weapon of Cybertron's Dark Scorponok.
Pg 137. Nemesis Prime previously showed up on the aforementioned lithograph. Repurposed on the Japanese Animated Optimus Prime Black Version toy, he's presented as a creation of Straxus, like the 2008 Universe version.
Dark Rodimus is another Japan exclusive. Judging by Cyclonus' words here, Rodimus Prime is involved in some capacity in the future world where Cyclonus comes from, fighting against Galvatron. Another use of a Furmanism with "short, sharp lesson" here.
Skipjack is based on a joke concept for Animated Devastator, using Erector as pants. Named after one of Revenge of the Fallen Rampage's preliminary names, he's a clone of Erector, using CNA captured by Lockdown. Dirt Boss payed him with one of the Dinobot's fire breath.
164-The first Cybertronix section at the top (Cybertronix is a cypher language with both Maximal and Predacon variations seen in the Beast Wars animated series; the Maximal font is used for Autobot reports and journals, while the Predacon font is used for Decepticon personal logs.) is from the manual of the first Mega Man game. It reads: "It's MEGA MAN versus the powerful leaders and fighting forces of Monsteropolis—that strange multi-faceted land of robot-like Humanoids. Brilliant scientist Dr. Wright"
The Cybertronix behind Megatron's damanged body is the first of many Ask Vector Prime (a former feature on Hasbro's website during the Cybertron series where Vector would answer various questions from fans, often unhelpfully) sections. It reads:
Q: Do the Duocons have mitotic sparks? What about Overlord? Sky Lynx?
A: Duocons like Overlord and beings like Sky Lynx do have such sparks.
Mitotic sparks originate from Beast Machines Magmatron's bio information. Overlord is retconned to also be a Duocon.
The bit below Megatron reads "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into." catchphrase of Hardy from Laurel and Hardy.
The co-ordinates at the bottom are the co-ordinates Walter White used to find the money he had hidden away in Breaking Bad. +34° 59′ 20.00″, -106° 36′ 52″ are the co-ordinates I found online, since I didn't originally write them down and I don't have my copy on me currently to figure out what it originally said.
Pg 166- the Cybertronix at the top is a quote from the 1997 film Gattaca-it reads, "I never saved anything for the swim back."
The bit behind the upload device is a quote from the Halo 4 Interactive Guide website. It reads: "Mankind's central military authority, the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) originated during the 22nd century's Interplantery War as the military arm of the Unified Earth Governement (UEG). Remaining intact throughout substantial colonization efforts of the 24th and 25th centuries, as well as the Insurrection which followed, the UNSC stood firm during the Covenant's assault on its own colonial territories and eventually Earth. In the aftermath of the war, the UNSC now struggles to regain control of its own territories and recover from the horrific devastation of a three-decade long conflict."
The text behind Sari's keycard are the lyrics for the song "Garbage Truck" from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
At the bottom is a location in Alaska-a typo for a location of an anomaly in the book, The Subtle Knife.
167- At the top is a quote from Fight Club. "On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero."
The text behind the Crimson Angel jet is a quote from Firefly: "First rule of battle, Little One: Don’t ever let them know where you are." Below it, another Firefly quote: "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
Behind Optimus' dead body is another Ask Vector Prime:
Q: Which origin for the Constructicons is the most accurate?
A: ... cat... You ... trut ... clos ... o ... ould ... closes... conce... ... was d... episo ... season ... I hope that answers y... ...estion.
The Constucticon's origin was a bit of a mess in the original Transformers cartoon: they were apparently made on Earth in "Heavy Metal War," but revealed to have originally been friendly bots corrupted by Megatron in "The Secret to Omega Supreme", and would later be made even more complicated, as they created Megatron, according to backstory from "Five Faces of Darkness". The model sheet on the page cleverly covers up Vector's answer.
169: At the top is a quote from the Bhagavad Gita: "Hell has three gates-lust, anger, and greed."
The text behind the Pocketbot is a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:
"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you — daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough."
At the bottom, a quote from Steve Jobs: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking."
170: The text at the top is a quote from W.B. Yeats' "The Second Coming": "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity."
On the right of the biochemical makeoverees is a quote from Babylon 5: "Faith Manages." Below them is another Babylon 5 quote: "The ascension of the ordinary man."
The text behind the bell is the opening to Season 4 of Babylon 5: "It was the year of fire... the year of destruction... the year we took back what was ours. It was the year of rebirth... the year of great sadness... the year of pain... and the year of joy. It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed. The year is 2261. The place: Babylon 5."
At the bottom, the co-ordinates for Mount Rushmore.
171- Here is the first instance of Predacon Cybertronix. At the top, "What a horrible night to have a curse," a quoate from from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
Below the images for Dino-Drive, a quote from Planet of the Apes:
"Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death."
174: The text at the top translates to "Traveling through space is stupifyingly monotonous" a quote from Edgar Rice Burroughs' Skeleton Men of Jupiter.
Behind Ratchet is a passage from John Scalzi's Old Man's War: “I did two things on my seventy-fifth birthday. I visited my wife's grave. Then I joined the army. Visiting Kathy's grave was the less dramatic of the two. She's buried in Harris Creek Cemetery, not more than a mile down the road from where I live and where we raised our family."
At the bottom, the text translates to the coordinates of Robinson's Brewery in Manchester, creator of the Trooper, a beer inspired by Iron Maiden, Bill Forster's favorite brand.
176-The text at the top is a famous quote from Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Behind Eddie is an excerpt from the original Metroid game manual:"On a routine survey mission of the planet SR388, the crew of a Galactic Federation vessel discovered a new airborne life form and gave it the name "Metroid." These creatures, which could engulf other living beings and take away their energy, proved to be strong"
Behind Nanosec's aging head is the opening to the first season of Arrow: "My name is Oliver Queen. For five years, I was stranded on an island with only one goal-- Survive. Now I will fulfill my father's dying wish-- to use the list of names he left me and bring down those who are poisoning my city. To do this, I must become someone else. I must become something else."
Underneath appears to be the coordinates for the Waldorf-Astoria, one of the namesakes of The Transformers cartoon character Astoria Carlton-Ritz. T61 refers to Track 61, a railway platform beneath the hotel.
177- At the top it reads, "Klaatu Barada Nikto" from The Day the Earth Stood Still.
The text behind Sari's costume is the lyrics to Duran Duran's "Hungry like the Wolf".
The text behind the drained Sari is lyrics from Bowling for Soup's "High School Never Ends".
At the bottom are the celestial coordinates for the constellation Draco.
179-The text at the to translates to lyrics from Spinal Tap's "Stonehenge": Stonehenge! "Where the demons dwell Where the banshees live and they do live well"
Behind the xylophone are lyrics from Knack's "My Sharona".
Behind the pinata are lyrics from Blondie's "Maria".
At the bottom is the co-ordinates for the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
181-Two errors from the first Almanac (Jessica Benton and Where Apes Dare to Tread) have been rectified.
182- At the top, the opening of H.G. Wells' The Time Machine: "The Time Traveler(for so it will be convenient to speak of him) was expounding a recondite matter to us. His grey eyes shone and twinkled, and his usually pale"
At the bottom, behind the images of the museum and the crash site, the text translates to the opening for the 1978 Incredible Hulk series. "Dr. David Banner—physician, scientist...searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that all humans have. Then an accidental overdose of gamma radiation alters his body chemistry. And now, when David Banner grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs. The creature is driven by rage and pursued by an investigative reporter."Mr. McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." The creature is wanted for a murder he didn't commit. David Banner is believed to be dead. And he must let the world think that he is dead, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him."
183: For Stilleto:
Below the Encryted Internal Log title: "It's hero time"-the catchphase of Ben 10.
Behind the image of Stella Healy the lyrics to The Lego Movie song, "Everything is Awesome".
For Bot's of Science:
"Wuba-Luba-Dub-Dub": Rick's catchphrase from Rick and Morty.
185: A quote from Exosquad at the top:
"Many years ago our ancestors came to Tethys as convict labor. In exchange for their work, they were promised freedom and help in building new lives. Many did not survive to see the end of their sentences. Then the Neosapiens were created. The rich mines of Mars were opened. And the mines, and miners, of Tethys were abandoned. From the struggle to survive, the Pirate Clans were formed. Metals were dug, ships were built. Whatever else the clans needed they took from the Homeworlders who had lied to them for decades."
Behind the warbot, the romanized lyrics to Attack on Titan's theme song.
At the bottom, tying back into the top the coordinates for the crater Odysseus on Saturn's moon Tethys.
186- At the top, the text translates to: "In Greek, “nostalgia” literally means “the pain from an old wound”. It’s a twinge in your heart, far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards and forwards, it takes us to a place where we ache to go again.” A quote from Mad Men.
Behind the Powell Bulkhead is the song "Riding the Mustache" from Saul of the Mole Men.
Behind the Bulkhead's the lyrics from The Door's "Strange Days".
187-At the top, a quote from The Terminator: "It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear! And it absolutely will not stop, ever."
Below that, the coordinates for Ford's Theater, where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
At the bottom on the left, the lyrics for Supertramp's "So You Think You're a Romeo."
At the bottom right, a quote from Futurama episode "The Scary Door": "You are entering the vicinity of an area adjacent to a location. The kind of place where there might be a monster, or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples"
Page 188-At the top, lyrics from Megadeth's "Hook in Mouth".
Behind Megatron's body lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Mr Tambourine Man".
Page 189 At the top is the Scorpions' song, "Rock You Like a Hurricane".
Behind Megatron, a quote from the Egyptian Book of the Dead: "Air and earth are my horizons. What lies between is what I am. O infinite form of being: beast and stone and vegetable; the way a man may stand in his garden or dance by the river while wakes of small boats rock the reeds. The cities and the people in them, gods who walk in white linen, like women under the blue stone of heaven. I am the priest in a hidden house, guide to inner worlds. I am the idea of myself in my mother's belly"
At the bottom, "Six Seasons and a Movie," a quote from Community.
190-At the top, lyrics from Iron Maiden's "The Legacy at the Top".
The coordinates below the Incident Report information are those of Disneyland's Space Mountain.
Behind the Steelhaven, nother Ask Vector Prime question:
Q: Optimus Prime is sometimes one of the Thirteen, does this make him a multiversal singularity?
A: In a sense, yes. Most Universes have an Optimus Prime, and they tend towards exemplifying the best expressions of Autobot ideals. Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, Shockwave, Bumblebee and the like could be similarly contextualized; as archetypes they are transcribed universally.
Optimus is part of the Thirteen in the Aligned continuity. Most versions of Optimus Prime and the like are virtually identical beyond cosmetics; this question posits them as archetypes: similar variations of a theme, but not true multiversal singularities.
On the left-hand side, A113, an in-joke from CalArts students in many, many films and other productions. Read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A113
191:
Various quotes from the Tick, in order from top, to right hand side, to bottom:
"Stand back, citizen! So, vending machine, we meet again."
"He stands in silence — stoic, godlike — the mysterious blue avenger who has become legend to the simple folk of this bus station."
"When you get in bed with evil incarnate, it always steals the covers."
193: Lyric's from White Room's "Cream" at the top: "Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings"
Behind the models at the bottom, a selection from Issac Asimov's Foundation: "HARI SELDON–... born in the 11,988th year of the Galactic Era; died 12,069. The dates are more commonly given in terms of the current Foundational Era as – 79 to the year 1 F.E. Born to middle-class parents on Helicon, Arcturus sector (where his father, in a legend of doubtful authenticity, was a tobacco grower in the hydroponic plants of the planet), he early showed amazing ability in mathematics. Anecdotes concerning his ability are innumerable, and some are contradictory. At the age of two, he is said to have ..."
196- At the top, a quote from Spartacus: Blood and Sand: "Accept your fate or be destroyed by spectres of a past never to return"
Another Ask Vector Prime is made out of the remaining text on the page.
Q: We haven't seen you around much lately. What have you been doing?
A: I have been most busy recently. The destruction of Primax 207.0 Epsilon has sent ripples through the multiverse that needed my attention. Though there was much destruction, not all of the effects were negative. The Quantum Vacuum left in its wake was filled mere days later by yet another splinter from Primax 984.0 Gamma, Primax 512.5 Gamma. In addition, fortunately, its absence has allowed Gargent 984.08 Alpha to begin to repair itself, though not before the Diaspora was well underway.
Primax 207.0 Epsilon (the Classics universe) was destroyed in BotCon 2012's "Invasion". It was replaced by the universe of Regeneration One, taking it's number string from #80.5's publication (which was indeed released only a few days later in the real world.) The GoBots world was shown being slowly destroyed by the Classicsverse in "Withered Hope": the Diaspora is a concept that would later be expanded on in Spatiotemporal Challengers and Sorenson's "Cultural Appropriations".
197-the top is a quote from George Carlin: "Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?"
Behind Bulkhead, a quote from The Matrix:
"I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague, and we are the cure."
198-the top is a quote from The Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man": "The rest of the book To Serve Man, it's... it's a cookbook!"
Below, the opening narration to the Six Million Dollar Man:
"Steve Austin, astronaut. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster."
200-at the top, lyrics to Iron Maiden's "Satellite 15... The Final Frontier": "Done more in my life than some do in ten I'd go back and do it all over again"
Behind the communicator and other equipment is Josie and the Pussycat's "Dujour around the World", from the 2001 film adaptation.
202-At the top the lyric to Iron Maiden's "Back in the Village": "Turn the spotlights on the people, Switch the dial and eat the worm"
The coordinates above the indicident report information are Jim Sorenson's home of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Another AVP takes up the rest of the page.
Q: What do you call the Kre-O universe? Hero Mashers, Bot Shots, Construct-Bots, Cloud, Angry Birds?
A: Kreons mainly hail from Fornax 813.0 Gamma or Fornax 711.01 Alpha. Cloud would be Primax 514.29 Gamma. Autobirds first clashed with Deceptihogs in Rovio 914.25 Kappa. All of the rest are various incarnations of the Iocus cluster.
Fornax is Latin for kiln-which, among other things, are used to make clay bricks. The two universal streams referred to here are the online TakaraTomy Kre-O manga, and the first run of stop-motion Kre-O cartoons on Youtube. Cloud's universal stream takes its numbers from the first wave of Cloud toys which included the comic, and clarifies that it is not its own cluster. The Rovio cluster name takes it from the company who owns the Angry Birds game, along with date of release for the game. Iocus is Latin for "a joke." The Iocus cluster would also be later expanded in the Facebook Ask Vector Prime run.
204-At the top "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn," from Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu and many, many, many other places.
On the left, the first of several "Betelgeuse"'s used in the book, presumably in reference to the 1988 film, Beetlejuice.
Behind the torch and iron:
Q: Can you tell me about the aligned continuity? Are Transformers Prime and War for Cybertron in the same universe? There seem to be differences.
A: That's a bit of an animal to define. You are correct in observing differences betwixt Uniend 812.21 Kappa and Uniend 911.05 Alpha. However, these differences tend towards the cosmetic. Macroscopic events of the Uniend Cluster have a uniform cosmology and history, removed from much of the rest of the multiverse.
The two Uniend streams mentioned here are the High Moon game series and the Prime cartoon and its spin offs, Rescue Bots and Robots in Disguise, although the first stream takes its number string from Fall of Cybertron, the second game in the series, and the second takes it from the UK premier date. The terminology used to describe the cluster is similar to language used at the BotCon 2011 Transformers brand panel.
205-At the top, Blondie's "Maria" again. A cute reference to how Blondie's "Shayla" was accidentally used twice in the original almanac.
Behind the stasis cuffs, part of the opening to the Canadian television series, Continuum. In full: "2077. My time, my city, my family. When terrorists killed thousands of innocents, they were condemned to die. But they had other plans. A time travel device sent us all back sixty-five years. I want to get home, but I can't be sure what I will return to if history is changed. Their plan: to corrupt and control the present in order to win the future. What they didn't plan on was me."
Behind Sari's arm a quote from Robotech: "In the year 1999, high above Macross Island in the South Pacific, a phenomenal event occurred in the skies that would forever alter the course of human history."
206-
Q: Could Unicron Beat the Death Star?
A: That depends. Most instances of Unicron are expressions of an abstract force of nature, some spanning multiple universes. These instances could easily defeat the transforming battle station of Lukas 577.25 Beta. However, against non-singularity instances of Unicron with more mundane origins, such as Primax 984.17 Alpha or Viron 704.08 Gamma, Darth Vader's amazing mech would most probably prevail.
The Lukas cluster is named after George Lucas, creator of Star Wars. The universal stream referred to here is the Crossovers toyline, although it takes its number string from the release date of A New Hope; Darth Vader's mech is a reference to the Death Star Transformer toy with his appearance. Vector drops mention of non-singularity Unicrons (such as the the original Transformers cartoon one, who was built by Primacron as seen in "Call of the Primitives", and another one from the Dreamwave Robits in Disguise comic "Ultra Magnus...to the Rescue?"). The idea that there are non-singularity versions of multiversal beings would become a plot point in the upcoming AVP Facebook run and would tie in to the Fun Publications storyline, "Another Light".
Behind the Blurr cube, the lyrics to Anthrax's "I Am The Law".
Q: Do you have a favorite book?
A: I enjoy many human books, though I am often too busy to read. Peter David and Alan Dean Foster are among my favorite authors.
Prime's two favorite authors have both dabbled in Transformers, of course; Alan Dean Foster wrote the novelizations and prequels for the first two of the live action movies, while Peter David wrote the novelization of Dark of the Moon.
208: At the top is the song "Winter Wrap Up" from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
In the middle of the page is Ancient Autobot (a language created by Jim Sorenson based on characters seen in The Transformers episode "Cosmic Rust") It reads: "Bye-Bye Li'l Sebastian" a quote from Parks and Recreations.
Behind Bumblebee lyrics to the song "Let's Go to the Mall", from How I Met Your Mother.
Azeroth is a location from World of Warcraft, but I haven no idea what it has to do with the song "They're Red Hot" by Robert Johnson
209-At the top are lyric to the Axis of Awesome's song "Rage of Thrones".
Behind Bulkhead, lyrics to The Rains of Castamere from Game of Thrones.
42°56'19.27"N 7°52'24.93"W-Somewhere in spain? I honestly have no idea. Given the Game of Thrones theme, it might be meant to be somewhere filmed there.
210-
Q: I've noticed some difference between the collected Almanac and the individual volumes. What happened?
A: You have a good eye! Malgus 1207.26 Alpha experienced some minor temporal disturbances due to the machinations of one Natasha Pyraniac. Don't worry, though, the fabric of space-time has mostly been corrected. A few multiuniversal beings, such as the Alternity or the Transtech, may notice some minor changes. Gabriella Constanza is back on track to become the first female president of the US. Swindle never met the time-displaced Wavelength and therefore avoided a few centuries of incarceration in Graviton prison, so he's gathered different data on what you call the Milky Way galaxy. Cosmic perturbations have flipped the gender of the occasional spark and shifted some bodies about. And because all of the screen captures of our logs are a few nanokliks off, you might notice some different background text.
Vector explains why there are subtle differences in between the individual Almanacs and this volume-obviously referring to edits made in the real world to the volumes, some of which came from Derrick J Wyatt's request. Natasha Pyranic comes from the Animated Be a Hero book, Time-Quake. Vector states that the Alternity (from the 2009 toyline of the same name) and the TransTech (from the Fun Publications stories) would be able to notice such differences. Gabriella Constanza (also from Time-Quake) replaces Elaine Nakurama as the first female President. Wavelength is another Time-Quake original; Graviton Prison is from a prose story from the Beast Wars Neo manga; this serves to explain why the Planet Map section is different. The line about gender flips refers to the female Sunstreaker replacing the male Sunstreaker from the second Almanac, while the change of body types refers to various pieces of Bill Forster's art being replaced by Wyatt's. The background text has been entirely replaced, and is explained as due to screenshots being off a few nanokliks.
Behind Starscream's head mode are romanized lyrics to the end theme of Cowboy Bepop.
Behind Megatron's head, the lyrics of Labyrinth's "Magic Dance".
211 The header is George Harrison's "Dream Away" lyrics.
Behind Megatron and Starscream's heads are the romanized lyrics of the 2nd ending theme to Great Teacher Onizuka.
The co-ordinates are Popeye Village in Malta.
212- The header is lyrics to Skip James' "Devil Got My Woman".
At the top, the coordinates are the west wing of the White House, which probably refers to the television show The West Wing.
On the left and near the page fold by the warehouse, lyrics from Alice Cooper's "Billion Dollar Babies".
Behind Dirt Boss's components are lyrics to Madness' "Uncle Sam".
Behind the dissasembled cars, a quote from Catcher in the Rye:
“If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.”
213-
Q: There is some debate on this-is Sideways a multiuniversal singularity?
Answer: Oh my spark no! however, he certainly gets around with some versions of him jumping from universe to universe to universe. For instance, the Sideways of Aurex 402.0 Gamma, who originated from Tyran 509.12 Zeta, is NOT the same as the Sideways of Aurex 802.23 Alpha, who originally came to my attention in the Viron cluster and made his way to at least two or three other clusters after he first departed that universe stream. It's hard to keep track, even for me! They Tyran universes tend to branch frequently, due to the multiversal nature of the Fallen, so many of the Sideways from there are distinct beings and have never visited more than one universe. Though, of course, when a universe he is in schisms, he naturally splits as well. Why there are multiple iterations of the Sideways from Tyran 609.23-XP Kappa, and that's just within one highly volatile universe. At least one of those made his way to the Iocus cluster by way of Nexus Zero, and another hailed from the Uniend cluster and had briefly visited a Rovio stream. That's not to say the Tyran Sideways is NEVER from elsewhere. For example, the Tyran 207.28 Gamma Sideways who was rebuilt following his bisection, and sent undercover to infiltrate the Primax Autobots, was spawned in Fornax 813.0 Gamma. I hope this clarifies things.
Sideways' nature is heavily expanded upon-while not a multiversal singularity, multiple versions of him jump from universe to universe. The first Sideways mentioned is originally from the junior novelization for Revenge of the Fallen, and jumped to the Dreamwave Armada comics. The second Sideways is the one from the Armada and Cybertron cartoons, who would jump to the Robots in Disguise timeline (his originating point in real life). The multiversal nature of the Fallen causing Tyran universes to branch frequently is in reference to sheer amount of ancillary storybooks and other media connected to the live action movies. The idea that Kappa universe are highly volatile and have multiple routes is in reference to the fluid nature of video game playthroughs, where while the ends are almost always per-determined, the way a player gets there can be accomplished in many ways. The third Sideways originates from the PC version of the Revenge of the Fallen game (the XP, of course, referring to Windows XP), went to an Iocus universe through Nexus Zero (The Vok's home from the Beast Wars cartoon), while a fourth came from a Uniend stream and visited a Rovio stream. The fifth originates from the Kre-O manga, and jumped to the IDW movieverse comics, and after being rebuilt after bisection (referring to his rather gruesome death by Sideswipe in Revenge of the Fallen), jumped to a Primax verse to infiltrate the Autobots, presumably referring to the Robotmasters series.
In the medical report:
The coordinates to the Triskelion, according to Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The diagram points to three spots all with quotes from The Simpsons' Dr. Nick.
1: "Well if it isn't my old friend Mr McGreg...with a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg!"
2: "Inflammable' means flammable? What a country!"
3: "Hi everybody!"
214-At the topic, the lyrics to the Thundercats theme song.
Below the incident report bit it says "REMAIN INDOORS", a reference to the Quiz Broadcast from That Mitchell and Webb Look.
Beside the Alley-"Crazy is majority rules"- a quote from Twelve Monkeys.
At the bottom, the coordinates for Shanghai.
215-at the top, a quote from Andy Kaufman: "There's no drama like wrestling."
Behind the signal beacon, a quote from V: "They arrived in 50 motherships, offering their friendship and advanced technology to Earth. Skeptical of the Visitors, Mike Donovan and Juliet Parrish infiltrated their ranks and soon discovered some startling secrets. The resistance is all that stands between us...and the Visitors."
On the side, a quote from Cloud Atlas: “A half-read book is a half-finished love affair.”
At the bottom. the coordinates for New York City Hall.
216- At the top:
Q: Once and for all, which one is red and which one is blue, Frenzy or Rumble?
A: Your question is ambiguous. In the Tyran cluster, for example Frenzy is often silver.
Perhaps the most infamous of fandom arguments, RIRFIB/RIBFIR originates as a result of the original Transformers cartoon mixing up the two humanoid cassettes colors. Vector dodges the answer by bringing up the live-action movie Frenzy.
Above the incident report, a quote by Voltaire: “God is a comedian playing to an audience that is too afraid to laugh.”
On the left side, a quote from Alice in Wonderland: "Here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place."
On the right side, "Kilroy was here" a phrase that became popular in America during WWII.
At the bottom the coordinates for Death Valley.
218
Cybertronian Optical Code (introduced in Animated episode "Mission Accomplished") on this page:
Oxyrhynchus
Banpo
Espanya
Taman Shud
Seraphinus
The top three all seem to have to do with archaeology in some way: Oxyrhynchus and Banpo are archeological sites, while the Plaza de Espana contains a large collection of Archaeological discoveries. The other two are reused from the original version of this page. The cover is a holdover from the original.
219-At the top, a quote from 1992's Army of Darkness: "I had a wonderful girlfriend Linda. Together we drove to a small cabin in the mountains. It seems an archeologist had come to this remote place to translate and study his latest find: Necronomicon Exmortis. The Book of the Dead. Bound in human flesh and inked in blood, this ancient Sumerian text contained bizarre burial rights, funeral incantations, and demon resurrection passages, it was never meant for the world of the living. The book awoke something dark in the woods, something evil. It took Linda. Then it came after me, it got into my hand and it went bad, so I lopped it off at the wrist."
Below the episode title, "Don't Cross the Streams," a quote from Ghostbusters.
On the right side, our second "Betelgeuse".
222-
Q: Were multiuniversal singularities always such from the beginning of time, or did they evolve that way over the eons?
A: Both are fair ways of conceptualizing this phenomena. The term itself may be a bit of a misnomer, as different parts of the multiverse operate on different principles. For example, the Malgus Cluster, which you are currently reading about, has no Primus entity analog, and a Unicron divorced from the singularity. In any event, I sense profound changes to the nature of singularities in the near future...
Another answer changing the perceptions of how singularities work. Primus does not exist in Malgus, and Unicron is divorced from the singularity, presumably due to Wyatt's dislike of the concept. More set up for "Another Light"....
On the side, it reads "Cowabunga", a holdover from the original, in reference to Sentinel's voice actor, Townsend Coleman, who played Michelangelo in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.
At the bottom it reads: "animalia chordata reptilia anapsida testudines emydidae trachemys scripta"- the full name for the red-eared slider, the type of turtle the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were originally before being mutated.
223. Mainly just corrections here: Los Bogos into Los Bogus, Thaddeus Braxis into Zebadiah T. Braxis. It continues onto the next two pages with Zetcaneon and Gargent -1185.01 Alpha.
226: At the header, Iron Maiden's "Brave New World" lyrics. "Dying swans twisted wings, beauty not needed here"
Behind the Dawn Treader, the opening narration of Voltron: "From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend. The legend of Voltron: Defender of the Universe. A mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil. As Voltron's legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On Planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of the Solar System, they maintained peace throughout the universe until a new horrible menace threatened the galaxy. Voltron was needed once more. This is the story of the superforce of space explorers. Specially trained and sent by the alliance to bring back, Voltron: Defender of the Universe."
Behind the listening device, lyrics to The Dandy Warhols' "We Used To Be Friends".
At the bottom, it says, "King's Cross Station Platform 9 3/4", the train that goes to Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
227-The header and the bottom read:
Q: I'm confused. The cover to Transformers 26 by Marvel shows the Mechanic having defeated all the Autobots, but that never happened.
A: It certainly didn't happen in Primax 984.0 Gamma. That event would be from a micro-continuity, burped up by the multiverse. I suppose it would be considered Primax 1186.0 Lambda. That universe was reabsorbed into Primax 984.0 Gamma with minimal impact.
Lambda is a new concept here, used to classify all the bits of art that don't really go anywhere else. The one mentioned here takes its number string from the release date of the 26 issue, evidently.
Behind Starscream is the lyrics to the second opening of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
To the left a quote from Brave New World: "A gramme is better than a damn."

Q: Is Alignment canon?
A: A cannon, such as you would fire at your enemies? No, The Alignment is more like a portal, through which my misguided contemporary the Liege Maximo would have achieved apotheosis.
Vector does another non-answer, here, referring back to the second Almanac's claim that the book was canon. The Alignment was indeed a portal in the novella.
Behind Sideswipe the lyrics to Iron Maiden's "Lightning Strikes Twice".
Behind Oil Slick, the lyrics to The Police's song "Invisible Sun".
To the side of Oil Slick are a parody of Toni Basil's "Oh Mickey"- "Oh McFeely you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, McFeely! McFeely!"

250-251- Not much new here. Inferno has been taken out, for reasons that will become apparent later, replaced with Mindwipe, with the accompanying square's text changed. Sunstreaker and Sideswipes' squares have been swapped, and the art replaced: Sideswipe is using the previous art from "The Stunti-Con Job" summary, while the male Sunstreaker has been replaced with a female Sunstreaker, based on Arcee.
