Human trafficking aka modern-day slavery is one of the major problems facing world society in the 21st century. Trafficking is one of the top three global criminal activities; the illegal drug trade and illegal arms dealing being the other two. The problem persists in both developed and developing countries. Stopping human trafficking will require a change in peoples’ attitudes and actions. The plaque of human trafficking continues due to the demand for the services and products connected to trafficking.
