1. AMA insurance is required to fly at Big Hollow flying site. The exceptions are those individuals who are training with a designated Intro Pilot Instructor.

2. The AMA Safety Code is in effect at all times.

3. Special rules may exist for certain scheduled events.

4. Pilots will use courtesy and common sense when flying in the infield area. No one will operate an aircraft within 25' of another person except for the pilot's helper. This rule also applies to the clubhouse and parking lot.

5. Taxiing from the pit area will not be allowed when other pilots are flying. Aircraft are to be carried to the airstrip.

6. Pilots shall not intentionally fly north of 190th Street.

7. When multiple pilots are using the flying site, all pilots must stand in generally a straight line on the north side of the east - west runway or the west side of the north - south runway. During special events, the use of pilot stations may be required.

8. The use of spotters for each pilot is highly recommended. During special events, the use of spotters may be required.

9. Pilots and helpers only are allowed beyond the pit area. During special events, access to the pit area may be restricted to pilots and helpers only.

10. The frequency control system in place at Big Hollow must be used at all times.

11. All internal combustion model aircraft engines shall be equipped with an effective muffler. Sound levels at full throttle are limited to 98 db or lower at a distance of 9 feet perpendicular to the aircraft.

12. All model airplane flying will cease at sunset.

13. It is strongly recommended that you never fly alone.

14. Participants in any model operation will not consume alcoholic beverages prior to or during activities.

15. A pilot’s log will be maintained at the flying field. All pilots will register when arriving and departing. The log will include the pilot’s name, AMA number, date, time-in and time-out.

16. Failure to obey rules could result in loss of flying site privileges.
