Bunker Hill West Civic Club
The Bunker Hill West Civic Club is a property owner’s association that has been active for forty years. The Civic Club was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in July 1971, and covers the Riedel Estates, Bunker Hill Plaza, and Bunker Hill Gardens Subdivisions. The initial incorporators were Robert R. Scott, Gary Grimmer, and David Brown. The initial Board of Directors was comprised of the three incorporators, and eight other residents who lived on Riedel, Kimberley, Holly Ridge, Barracuda Ct., and Gage Ct.
The purposes of the Civic Club have been the same since its formation, as stated in the Civic Club’s Constitution:
The purposes of this organization shall provide for the enforcement
of Deed Restrictions; to promote civic pride; to establish public unity
in the community; to obtain needed improvements for the community;
to provide for the management, administration, maintenance and
preservation of the common areas within the community; and to assist
in economic, civic and social enterprises or activities that are for the
benefit of the property owners and residents of the community.

Riedels were here when Spring Branch was country

To anyone who has lived in the Spring Branch and west Houston area for any years at all, the Riedel name is one that is well know.
Riedel or Riedel's Feedstore near Campbell Road and Riedel's Nursery off Clay Road - both family business in the true form.
"I hate to call it a mom and pop operation but we're a family-owned operation and we try to meet the indvidual needs of our customers," says Arthur Riedel.
