Journaling/ Sketchbook Assignments - Research/Notes - students use their sketchbooks to take notes, comment, plan and predict outcomes through out the creation of their project
Focus Grade - ½ way through project – Work in Progress – formative – for students to know when being graded, given calendar - understand that projects need time to plan, as well as time to create/manifest
Projects & Presentations – performance tasks demonstrating knowledge, create things. Technique evident through project creation project is inductive learning and students should be able to make a clear connection to the piece and the social or personal theme it set out to explore
Artist Statement – comprehension, understanding of process, juxtaposition
Critique - students refer back to their notes/sketchbooks during the project creation to explore solutions to challenges, support their artist statement and to field questions during the class critique
