Payments to Troop
Instructions for Using PayPal to Make a Payment to the Troop for a Fee
1. Navigate with a browser to https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=FQ7GVCNF2DGSS . (PayPal labels all payments to the troop as a donation.)
2. Enter the amount of the payment that you intend for the troop to receive.
3. Click on the square to increase your payment by the PayPal fee (approximately $0.50 plus 3% of the payment amount).
If you do not click on this square, the troop will receive a smaller payment than you intend.
4. Click on one of the oval buttons, either “Donate with PayPal” or “Donate with a Debit or Credit Card.”
5. To pay from your PayPal account, enter your user name and password, and on the PayPal page click on "Add a note" to indicate the purpose of your payment.
To pay with your debit or credit card, enter the requested information, and click on "Add a note" to indicate the purpose of your payment.
6. Click on the “Donate Now” button to complete the transaction.
Instructions for Using Zelle to Make a Payment to the Troop Without a Fee.
Log in to your online bank account you will transfer money from
Select "Send money with Zelle" within your bank account page or app. The Zelle option may also be under Transfers
Select Send Money instead of Request Money option
Enter 447treasurer@gmail.com as the recipient
Enter the amount to send
Add memo to indicate the purpose of your payment
Select Continue, with confirmation, then Send money
If your bank or credit union doesn't offer Zelle, you can register for it in the Zelle app.
When you enter the email address above, you may get confirmation that the recipient is "BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA TROOP 447".
