Scouting America is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement, and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. Youths from ages 11-17 (or who are at least 10 years old and have either finished the 5th grade or have earned the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout) are eligible for Youth membership. Adult membership is open to persons age 18 and above who complete Scout Safety training and meet other requirements applicable to "Scouters" generally.
Troop 427 holds weekly meetings on Tuesdays during the school year in the cafeteria at the American International School - Vienna from 5:15pm to 6:45pm. We have monthly outings that range from overnight camp-outs, rifle shooting, canoeing, snowshoeing, and community service projects. You do not need to attend the American International School - Vienna, or be an American citizen, to be involved in Scouting.
