Troop 13 is using Team Snap

Post date: Feb 07, 2019 12:9:49 PM

Troop 13 is trying a new method of communication for parents. TeamSnap is an app you download to your smartphone. If you have not received the invitation to join Troop 13's closed group please contact Carolyn at Carolyn.G.Yates@gmail.com. Parents that have scouts that are crossing over to Troop 13 should contact Carolyn so she may add you to the group.

Sarah sent out the following e-mail that summarizes out use -

As I mentioned in an earlier email, Carolyn Yates has volunteered to create a directory so that families can contact each other.

Some of you may have used the TeamSnap app for sports teams and clubs. Many Scout troops use it, too. It's a good way for parents to stay in touch with each other and to share information about events, who's attending, who's volunteering, etc. It can also be a way to see upcoming events and trips from your phone.

Your information is only shared within the defined group in TeamSnap.

We are rolling out a trial of TeamSnap to parents of the Troop. There is no information included about your scout, other than his name. It is up to you whether you want to add your contact information (such as your phone number), so other parents can reach you. When you login, you'll be able to see your son's name, your name and your email address. There are no scout emails being shared. The TeamSnap directory is entirely optional, but it could be a good way for parents to have easier access to information and to each other.

If you don't have TeamSnap already, you can download it from the app store. If you have questions, please contact Carolyn Yates at Carolyn.G.Yates@gmail.com.

Many thanks - enjoy the weekend.

Sarah
