Our scouts and families are out in the neighborhoods trying to raise funds for Pack 3038 camping and activities. This is an opportunity for our scouts to develop leadership and public speaking skills. It helps them build resilience by working through temporary setbacks (a "No") until they receive their desired outcome (a "Yes").
Our scouts are selling popcorn online, door to door, and at storefronts until 11/2.
They are selling Christmas wreaths until Oct. 25, with a delivery date in early November (TBD),
Families, connect with Dana at (intogardening@hotmail.com ) and Rayna (raynamfox@gmail.com ) with popcorn questions. Connect with Dan (FehlerD@gmail.com) with questions about wreaths.

Scouting is outdoors. Scouting is indoors.
Scouting is about gaining new skills. Scouting is about honing known ones.
Scouting is learning how to lead and when to follow.
Scouting is about raising our kids to be engaged, caring community members and world citizens.
Scouting is fun.
A British army officer named Lord Robert Baden-Powell used his experiences in the field as the basis for the worldwide Scouting Movement in 1907. Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) formed in 1910. While its roots are military and imperial, scouting today is an activity that uses individual development to achieve community engagement, civic action, and environmental stewardship.
We rely on our parents and caregivers to be den leaders and subject matter experts. The activities and lessons in our handbooks give our scouts opportunities to learn-by-doing and to build upon their natural talents to attain skills they otherwise would not have reached. Yes, we camp, hike, and tie knots. And we build self-propelling cars, we use the scientific method, and we perform community services.
