Meeting this Saturday September 25

Our next meeting of the year is this Saturday, September 25, 9-11 am, outside Bethel Lutheran Church (4120 17th Ave S) due to COVID indoor restrictions. This will be Den Meeting format, after a brief opening ceremony.

If you didn't make it to the last meeting, that's fine! You can jump into/out of Cub Scouts at any point. If you decide not to join this year, you can let me know at fehlerd@gmail.com or REPLY to this message and I will take you off of this list.

Popcorn/Wreath Sale Begins

Our Popcorn/Christmas Wreath Fundraiser begins, and we will have forms and information available on 9/25 for all who want to participate. We will be using the Trail's End App for tracking and to accept Credit Card sales, you can download the App and create an account at https://www.trails-end.com/ (we are Pack 3038 of the Northern Star Council, District L).

The App also has options to set up e-mail sales, if you have family around the country who want to support your Cub Scout.

We have popcorn on hand, so if you and your scout want to sell door-to-door or in front of a store, we can get you set up with a selection of popcorn and anything else you need.

We have Christmas Wreath flyers, so your Cub Scout can begin that tradition of selling Christmas Wreaths to support Cub Scout Pack 38. Christmas Wreath orders are due Saturday, October 23, and will be delivered to us on Saturday, November 20 (that's the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

All Cub Scouts who meet their sales goal of $350 in combined popcorn/wreath sales will get a special prize from Cub Scout Pack 38, either a $10 Scout Shop gift card or (for 5th Graders going into Troop 38), $50 into your Troop 38 Scout Account, to pay for summer camp next year.

2021-2022 Registration by September 30 for Fishing Pole

As a reminder, all new and returning Cub Scouts who register on-line by September 30 will get a FREE Fishing Pole. Registration is at https://scoutingevent.com/250-47709-127946 and is $180 (we are Pack 3038), and there is an option to request financial assistance.

Next Meeting October 9

Next Meeting will be Saturday, October 9, 9-11am at Bethel Lutheran. 4th and 5th graders who are not camping with Troop 38 will still have a regular Den Meeting.

5th Graders Camping with Troop 38 October 8-10

BSA Troop 38 has invited our 5th Graders to join them at the Fall Camporee Friday October 8, 5:00pm, to Sunday October 10, 11:00am. If you want to go contact Michelle Pitt at michhenning@yahoo.com ASAP (some space is still available!).

Campers are encouraged to visit Troop 38's meeting on Tuesday, October 5, 7:00-8:30pm at Bethel Lutheran to go over meal planning, tents, and other pre-camp details.

Pack 38 Fall Camp November 5-7

Mark your calendars, Cub Scout Pack 38 will be camping at Phillippo Scout Camp in Cannon Falls, MN on Friday November 5 to Sunday November 7. You can come for the whole weekend, or just join us for the day on Saturday (this replaces our regular meeting).
