Professional Experience: (Teaching, Research, and Transfer of Technology)
1. From April 2018 to till date, serving as Associate Professor in the School of Water Resources, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. The major responsibilities are teaching post-graduate courses; Ph. D & Masters’ students' research guidance; sponsored research and consultancy on Water Management using Physically based modeling tools, Pipe network analysis for rural and urban water supply systems, Flood hydrology, River basin management, and Study on the pollutant advection-dispersion dynamics.
2. From July 2012 to April 2018, served as Assistant Professor in the School of Water Resources, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, West Bengal, India.
3. From January 2008 to June 2012, served as Scientist in the discipline of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), under Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The major research responsibilities were Development of physically-based, simplified hydro-dynamic models for ungauged river basins; Physically-based simplified models for real-time Flood Forecasting; Catchment runoff estimation using GIS and Remote Sensing; Low-cost rainwater harvesting and integrated water management technologies; Integrated watershed development & management; Hydrometeorology; and Soft Computing in Hydrology.
