Old views from magazines and books

"Motorcycling" magazine's tester on the road in the late 1940s.

The 22/47 has a capacious boot - good for picnics...

From "Motorcycling", November 1947.

Good view of the seat cushion and squab.

A rare view showing the hood deployed from Jo Axon's book "Our Sidecars". This shows the support hoops in their

intended positions.

The second of the only two views that I can find with the hood erected. The support loops look to be in the

wrong positions as the hood looks somewhat floppy, rather than taut.

Another view from Jo Axon's book with the hood down but without the neat cover that is normally shown over the hood.

I think this must be a touched-up photo. Ths hood cover looks extremely (too?) neat and the push-studs

for the hood have disappeared, as have the transfers on the boot lid. However it displays the front support

to the mudguard well and also the rear body suspension bar, hanging below the end of the leaf spring.
