You should be able to find homework assignments and files on this webpage. Feel free to contact me with any questions at broueche@langstoncharter.org.

Homework is written on the board every day and students are expected to write it down in their agenda. I also add the same homework under each grade's page.

Homework and projects must be in class the day they are due. I cannot allow a student to call home for homework or projects to be brought to school. OOPS Passes can usually be used in this circumstance to bring homework the next day. Projects lose points every day they are late.

Grades are weighted as follows: Tests - 40%, Homework - 20%, Quizzes - 40%

Students that miss a test may make it up each Friday before school (7:45-8:15) or after school (1:30-2:30).

If there are any problems, please contact me and schedule a time for a conference.

Office Hours are held every Friday for students who have questions and/or need help with the current units of instruction. I will be in my classroom between 1:45-2:45.

Office hours are not “tutoring sessions.” Instead, they are a regularly scheduled opportunity for my students to ask additional questions, get clarification, or get a little more explanation on things they will be studying for upcoming quizzes and tests.

Students have been told the following:

Every teacher will be available for help/questions about the most recent work being studied in class.

Focus on Current Units, Upcoming Quizzes/Tests

All students are welcome to attend – IF you have questions or need some extra help.

This is a time for additional help – it does not replace the need or responsibility to ask questions and pay attention during class.

The time is divided into TWO sessions

You can get help from two teachers during this time OR stay with one teacher the whole time.

There will be a signal to switch to another classroom half way through.

There are sign-up sheets in every classroom.

Students are asked to sign up for the Friday help sessions by Thursday.

Students must come with questions so they can ask for specific help.

If students are staying for help, they are expected to put forth effort and participate. Misbehavior or disruptive behavior will be referred to the administration immediately. Inattentive/disruptive students will no longer be allowed to attend office hour help sessions.

Students may only stay for help if they have arranged for a ride to pick them up at 2:45.
