Jonathan joined the lab in 2008
Jonathan is originally from London. After working as a senior technician at the transgenic suite of the Hammersmith Hospital he took on a microinjectionist position at the CSC for the MRC specialising in ES blastocyst injections.
After 8 years Jonathan decided that the commute was too much and wanted to look elsewhere and so moved to Oxford as a Research associate to support the work carried out in Neil’s lab and co-worked with Kim Nasmyth’s lab. 12 years later, Jonathan now specialises in anything to do with manipulation of mouse embryos, including, IVF, ICSI, CRISPR microinjection and gamete cryopreservation. Also a member of the animal welfare ethical group, Jonathan now works for both Biochemistry and DPAG, cycles to work, is living the countryside lifestyle with his partner and his two daughters.
