Jeongyoon (Joy) Choi

Joy joined the lab in 2017

Joy studied biological sciences in KAIST in South Korea for her BSc. Then she moved to Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Germany for her PhD in structural and functional studies of chromatin modifying complex, using x-ray crystallography and single-molecule assays.

Now she is interested in visualising X chromosome inactivation directly as her postdoctoral research, funded by Marie Curie individual fellowship and junior research fellowship at Linacre College. Outside her work, she enjoys walks with friends and loves plants.
