Clelia Accalai

Clelia joined the lab as WT Rotation student in November 2019

Clelia completed her Master’s in Applied Biology at the University of Pavia (Italy), specialising in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences.

After graduating, she moved to Oxford where she worked as a Research Assistant at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology before starting her DPhil under the Wellcome-Trust Chromosome and Developmental Biology Programme.

Following a short rotation on her first year, she officially joined the Brockdorff Lab, where she is currently studying the role of the protein SPEN in X chromosome inactivation, combining molecular biology and genomics approaches.
