Our vision is to help you develop your "voice" through design and creation of whimsical clay sculptures and desirable functional pottery while exploring some new techniques, forms, and colors.
Joanne Graydon is an ambitious potter motivated by imaginative thinking, honesty, and collaboration. She will motivate those who wish to cultivate their skills in hand-crafting pottery while continuing to advance her own skills and ideas.
My daughter and I decided to take an 8 week pottery session with Joanne at Bridgehill on a bit of a whim...which just happened to be one of the best things we've ever done! Joanne, an experienced potter, walked us through everything from slab work to throwing pots on the wheel, to pulling handles to making lids...the list goes on! She worked with us to maximize our time and our skill level. Her thorough understanding of clay was evident as she answered our questions (What's the science behind that, Jo? Lol!) and expertly guided us along our potter's journey. We came home with many finished pieces, glazed and ready to use or display....and we will certainly be back to continue our journey. Thank you, Joanne for such a memorable experience!

Congratulations to Bridgehill Pottery Shop for winning 1st place at the Steinbach Arts Center Juried Show (pottery category); 5 lovely characters ~ "The Uggos" (above photo).
Why would you buy clay pottery? (This is what one happy customer says…)
“This is the real deal! It is ‘earthy and natural’ and it is made by a small shop owner, whom I personally met! How cool is that?!“
Why buy the mass produced “cold feeling” items when you have the opportunity to buy the real deal, “warm feeling” pottery and support a small local business! (Photos below)
