STA 2023 Elementary Statistics
Welcome to Statistics. Below I have notes for each chapter. In these notes have embedded videos, examples, hints, statcrunch directions, and everything else I can think of to help out with the course. The goal of these notes is not only to cover the material in the course but also offer short video links to help with further instruction and use of statcrunch (super helpful program...make sure you take advantage of it). If you find something lacking or missing from the below notes please let me know and I'll do my best to add it. I will be available for questions via email (brian.thomasson@fscj.edu). I have recorded meetings, in the notes, from past semesters (any reference to dates my be incorrect) that can be viewed anytime. The recorded meetings cover the material and the use of statcrunch.

Accessing the course material:
B12 section starting Sept 18: thomasson58644 (This is the course ID, you will also need an access code...read below for directions)
Your payment for the class through FSCJ includes the access to MyStatLab for no additional charge. Look for an email to your student account that includes a link to get the access code. Search your FSCJ email for "brytewave". This is a multi-step process that is not the most intuitive. The email from Brytewave will have a code in it (this is not the access code). The Brytewave code and the associated website will get you the access code. That access code will be entered in pearsonmylabandmastering.com along with the course code for class access.
NAME CHANGE RECENTLY?...Please use the name in the FSCJ system or some combination of the new and old name (hyphenated).
Course Pre-requisite: MGF1106 or MAC1105, with a grade of C or better.
1) Elementary Statistics , 14th edition-Mario Triola (The book can be accessed online with the purchase of a MyStatLab code)
2) A Scientific Calculator (Almost any calculator will do, no need to get a graphing calculator)
