This tagger is capable of taking a corpus and tagging each word in the corpus with the head word of the word family in which it would fall.
The Biber tagger is a part-of-speech tagger that also tags for perhaps the widest set of grammatical features of any tagger in existence. This latest iteration of the Biber Tagger, created in collaboration with Doug Biber, Jesse Egbert, Mike Suhan, and others, improves on Doug's original tagger and Tagcount programs in improving the Biber Tagger's speed, accuracy, and set of features. The New Biber Tagger is currently has a workable version, but we are still fine-tuning it. It will be available for public use soon.
This yes/no vocabulary size test is described in my master's thesis, which is available at this link: https://scholarsarchive.byu.edu/etd/5958/
