We would like our club to be a safe and supportive environment for all, so we have adopted these policies as guidelines for all MOMS Club functions. International MOMS Club encourages each of their chapters to create these Courtesy Policies because every chapter is different and our bylaws do not cover these more specific details.
MOMS Club is a support group. Please remember that there is no right or wrong way of parenting. We are not to judge others. Please be respectful of opinions or practices that may be different from yours.
Please remember that our Club should be a calm, non-threatening environment for moms and their child(ren). Moms, please be sure to keep an eye on your child(ren) at all times during a MOMS Club event. Our child(ren) should be respectful, too. We kindly ask that you monitor your child(ren) from any name-calling, foul language or inappropriate actions such as hitting, kicking, punching, spitting, etc. This only serves as a reminder – please help us keep our Club a great place for Moms and Kids to gather.

Bullying Policy for Kids & Moms:
Harassment, intimidation or bullying can take many forms including: slurs, rumors, jokes, innuendos, demeaning comments, pranks, gestures, physical attacks, threats, or other written, oral threats or physical actions. “Intentional acts” refers to the individual’s choice to engage in the act rather than the ultimate impact of the action(s).
Corrective discipline, and/or referral to law enforcement may be used to change the behavior of the perpetrator and remediate the impact on the victim. This includes appropriate intervention(s), restoration of a positive climate, and support for victims and others impacted by the violation. False reports or retaliation for harassment, intimidation or bullying also constitutes violations of this policy. This can be applied to children or moms in our club. If there is a bullying situation in our MOMS Club, you should contact a Board Member within 30 days of the initial attack, to let her know about the incident. Intl. MOMS Club or the local police may need to be contacted if cases are severe. The perpetrator receives one warning by a Board Member to cease the behavior. If the perpetrator does it again during her stay in our club, the 2nd time, she will be asked to leave by the Executive Board. There will be no refund on her remaining membership dues.
MOMS Club Membership Roster:
The membership roster is strictly for use of paid MOMS Club members, only. No mass mailings, solicitation of goods and services, or promotion of religious or political groups are permitted. Please enjoy the roster to contact your friends, only. When you solicit the entire group, via email or mail or phone, and a member doesn’t know you very well, it is uncomfortable for this mom. If you solicit the membership roster for any of reasons listed or for negative use, an Executive Board Member will contact you and give you one warning. If the Mom does it again during her stay in our club, the 2nd time, she will be asked to leave by the Executive Board. There will be no refund on her remaining membership dues.
Emails to club members:
Board Members are the ONLY members in the club that is allowed to send mass-emails or phone calls to the entire club at once. If you have information you would like to share with our club, please email a Board Member for approval. She will then forward the information to our chapter’s President, who will then share the info. with the club. You may email your close friends only, but please do not solicit the entire group. It is not comfortable for those members who do not know you.
When a Board Members send you an email, there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the emails that state the email is confidential. No copies shall be made or shared with any individual, besides yourself. Please remember to keep all club information, including emails confidential. If the Executive Board finds that you have violated this email policy, you will receive one warning. If the Mom does it again, you will receive a 2nd warning and your membership will be placed on probation for 6 months. If a Mom violates the email policy a 3rd time during her stay in our club, she will be asked to leave by the Executive Board. There will be no refund on her remaining membership dues.
Selling during a MOMS Club event:
MOMS Club understands that at-home mothers often sell products or services from home, for various reasons; however, we kindly ask that no solicitation of any kind takes place at MOMS Club sponsored activities. The seller may share verbal information and leave literature for members to read, but no money transactions shall be made during a MOMS Club event. If a member sells during a MOMS Club event, she will be warned by a Board Member. If the Mom does it again during her stay in our club, the 2nd time, she will be asked to leave by the Executive Board. There will be no refund on her remaining membership dues.
