1. These rule shall apply to all cemeteries operated by the Big Piney District.
2. These rules may be amended form time to time upon proper action of the Board of Directors of the Big Piney Cemetery District.
3. Rates for services an prices of cemetery lots shall be set by the Board of Directors of the Big Piney Cemetery District and may be adjusted from time to time upon proper actions of the Board of Directors of the Big Piney Cemetery District.
4. Prices for burial lots/columbarium niches are as follows:
Residents of the Big Piney cemetery District.
$100.00 per 12'x12' lot (2 burial spaces)
Non residents of the Big Piney Cemetery District:
$500.00 per 12'x12' lost (2 burial spaces);
5. Rates for other services are follows:
A Saturday service fee will be $600.00 that is to be paid prior to the service through the funeral director or directly to the cemetery superintendent or sexton. The services need to be completed and the grave closed by 2:00pm. Sunday and holiday services are at the discretion of the superintendent and sexton with the same rate as a Saturday service.
Disinterment for an adult, $745.00; for a child $545.00.
Disinterment with re-interment for an adult, $1045.00; for a child $635.00.
Cremation container removal; $175.00 per container.
There will be a $100.00 flat fee for the use of folding chairs, up to 100, weather permitting
For a service to be held on the Veteran's Memorial the family must provide a DD214 to confirm Veteran status.
6. There is to be only one full burial and 1 cremation or 2 cremations in a plot. If there needs to be a third cremation added to the plot, this will be discretion of the board.
7. If the owner of a lot is deceased and not buried in the cemetery, the lot will go to the legal heir of the lot owner.
8. All graves shall have a vault and a marker or monument. Base dimensions for upright markers or monuments shall be no smaller than 2'x3' and no larger than 2'x7.5'. All Flat markers with a vase are required to have a vase liner. Flat ground level markers in a base are required in blocks 6 through 16. Permanent markers shall be placed within two years of internment, after which the sexton will place a permanent marker.
A. The Big Piney Cemetery District staff will not be responsible for setting, resetting, or moving monuments/markers, excluding military monuments/markers that are shipped from the VA office. Setting, resetting, or moving of a monument/marker will be done by a monument company or with prior approval of the cemetery sexton and superintendent, if done by private contractor /individual. Monuments may be shipped to the cemetery with prior approval and must be set by either a monument company or private contractor/individual within one month arrival. Monuments/markers cannot be shipped to the cemetery or set from November thru April by private contractors/individual. Monuments/markers will be stored outside prior to setting.
9. A picture or drawing including all final dimensions of any above ground burial vault, crypt, mausoleum, headstone, or marker must be presented to the cemetery superintendent or sexton for approval prior to placement. The superintendent or sexton shall seek final approval form the Board of Directors for the Big Piney Cemetery District for any above ground burial vault, crypt, or mausoleum.
10. No one person or family may purchase or own more than four (4) lots unless more lots are agreed on by ta majority of the Directors.
11. The Big Piney Cemetery District is not responsible for any loss or damage to any marker, monument, above ground burial vault, crypt, mausoleum, vase or other fixture placed on a burial lot regardless of the whether the loss is caused by weather, time, acts of god, or vandalism. The Big Piney Cemetery District shall only be responsible for loss caused by District employees during the regular maintenance of the cemetery.
12. Please remove all flowers, decorations, and toys that are not in permanent vases. If the decorations that are in the permanent vase become an obstruction in general maintenance of the cemetery or detracts from the overall beauty of the cemetery, they will be removed. With exceptions of Memorial Day weekend and all other holidays, the decorations may be left for two (2) weeks following the holiday before they will be removed. NO GLASS VASES OR CONTAINERS ALLOWED. All flowers and decorations not meeting this regulation shall be removed.
13. No tress, shrubs or plants shall be planted except under the direction of the sexton in a place and manner of the sextons choosing. Donation of memorial trees and shrugs is encouraged. All memorial trees and shrubs shall be located and planted under the direction of the sexton.
14. No person shall erect any fence, hedge, coping or retaining wall.
15. All visitors to the cemetery will follow and obey all laws of the State of Wyoming.
16. Fireworks shall not be allowed in the cemetery.
17. No discharge of firearms, except during military services, shall be allowed without prior approval of the sexton.
18. All pets must be on a leash at all times and the owner is responsible to clean up behind any pet.
19. The sexton may request any person making a disturbance to immediately leave the cemetery and may report them to the Sublette County Sheriff for law enforcement action.
20. It is the responsibility of the lot owner to make sure family and friends are aware of the rules and regulations of the Big Piney Cemetery.
21. NO DRIVING ON THE GRASS. The public shall only drive on paved roads.
