Children return to Cobb County public schools on Monday, Aug. 4, and Marietta schools on Friday, Aug. 1!
Cobb departments are helping kids prepare by collecting and distributing donated supplies and backpacks.
As you shop for back-to-school supplies, if you are able, please buy a few extra items to support our school supply drives.
District Attorney's Office School Supply Drive - through July 24.

Supplies will be distributed at the Back 2 School Extravaganza, 9 - 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at Grand Slam Pizza, 2950 George Busbee Parkway. Open to all. One bag per student while supplies last.

The backpacks will be loaded with school supplies and distributed at the National Night Out event on Aug. 5.
This special summer event is a partnership between Cool Kids Committee Inc. and the Cobb County Police Department

Supply drive - Donations of new backpacks and school supplies for students of all ages are being collected in several locations throughout the county and on the final day of the drive, July 19. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

July 19 - Event at the Cobb Civic Center, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bring new backpacks & school supplies to the Cobb Civic Center, 548 South Marietta Pkwy SE, Marietta, and enjoy a day of fun:
Meet “Rose” the comfort dog presented by the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, and her amazing handler Angela. Come give a belly rub and get a cute pic with this pup!
Watch Cobb PALS Youth Step Team perform at 11:15 & 11:45 a.m. Led by Officer Mitchell of the Cobb County Police Athletic League.
Look inside a Cobb County Police Department patrol car and meet a police officer.
Free Recycling - Keep Cobb Beautiful will be collecting recycling from the public. Accepted items include: flattened cardboard, plastics, aluminum cans, food grade glass bottle/jars and hard to recycle plastics in the orange Hefty bag.
