1) 2022-2023 Calendar (Tentative)
The upcoming calendar is available to review! Many thanks to the Adult Leaders who have volunteered to take on logistic ownership of the events that our Scouts selected during Summer Camp. For those who don't know, during Summer Camp this year, we held a meeting with the attending Scouts asking for activity ideas fo this upcoming Scout year. With the Scouts feedback, we plan out our event locations (and the Scouts will then plan out the activities during the campouts).

Help Needed: We are still looking for another Adult Volunteer to help us with planning a White Water Trip in May - If you are interested or willing to volunteer, please reach out and we will make sure you have any assistance you need to take on the planning activities
2) First Meeting - September 12, 2022
With the Calendar set and planning underway, the first Troop meeting will be held on September 12, 2022. This will be held at the Church and will consist of Patrol elections, Troop position assignments, as well as several other activities.
What: First Troop meeting of 2022-2023 year
When: September 12, 2022. 6:45-8:00 pm (please ensure you have arrived in time to fall in prior to 6:45)
Where: Summit United Methodist Church. 554 Old Summit Bridge Rd Middletown DE 19709
What to bring: Class B Uniform, Scout Book
3) Updated Medical Forms (If you were not at Summer Camp)
With the beginning of a new scout year, please come to the meeting with an updated Scout Medical Form (Do not need part C). This is to ensure that we have up to date records for our Scouts during our weekend campouts. If you went to Summer Camp with the Troop, then we have current forms for this year and you do not need to bring new ones
4) Rank Advancement
Many of our Scouts were extremely busy during this Summer Camp session working to get requirements signed off during their down time. Please review with your Scouts where they currently are for advancement, and what else needs to be completed. Some of the requirements may require tracking things at home, and some may be things that they just need to discuss with you. As requirements are completed, they can bring their books to meetings and have them signed off!!
5) Youth Protection Training
For our Adult Leaders and anyone who would be interested in joining us for Camping Adventures this year, a reminder that YPT is good for 2 years (I just had to renew mine). The YPT is required for all adults who go camping with the Troop, as well as hold leadership positions. The training can be found here: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/
I look forward to another awesome Scouting year!!
YIS
