James D. Weyhknecht, 20 , of Long Branch, passed at home away on Friday, July 10th ,2015.
Born in Long Branch he was a lifelong resident. He graduated Long Branch High School and was attending Virginia College, Greensboro, N.C. He participated in Long Branch Little League Baseball, Soccer and Basketball. He was a Boy Scout with Long Branch Troop #148

Francis A."Sol" Juska, Francis A."Sol" Juska, 97, of Oceanport, ended his journey on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011. Sol was born and lived in Long Branch moving to Oceanport in 1971. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School. He was a member of it's notorious 1932 State Championship football team. He was a member of the "32 Club" formed to memorialize the 32 team. Sol ended his high school football career in 1933 being named to the Newark Star Ledger's All-State Team as a right guard. He continued playing for the next two years with the West End Wildcats. He was employed as a bookkeeper for the Thomas Proctor Construction Co., Long Branch, NJ for 33 years, retiring in 1985. He was Flower Show secretary for the Monmouth-Elberon Horticultural Society for a few years, he also belonged to the Greater New York Orchid Society. He was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. A member of the Long Branch Historical Association. He was a Civilian Defense Council observer during World War II. Sol was past president and secretary of Our Lady Star of the Sea Holy Name Society, secretary of the Trenton Diocesan Union of the Holy Name Societies. He was secretary of the Monmouth County Federation of the Holy Name Societies when the organization started the Monmouth County Little League and was one of the organizers of the Star of the Sea Boy Scouts Troop #54, he served as Neighborhood Commissioner in Long Branch for the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America. Sol was past secretary and a life member of the Long Branch Council #335 Knights of Columbus as well as Bishop Mc Faul Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus #846.
