MSc and Under Graduate Student Projects
Projects involve developing novel techniques and systems that leverage advances in crowdsourcing, AI (e.g., pre-trained language models and re-enforcement learning) and conversational services in improving processes in different domains.
Project topics, at MSc, third Year and Fourth Year Level, include :
Natural Language Processing for Process Discovery from Textual Sources (e.g., discovery of security testing recipes from security vulnerability reports, discovery of dialog flowcharts from how-to knowledge articles)
Vision Models and language models for Process Discovery from multi-modal sources (e.g., extracting process models from images, generating UI component skeletons from UI mock-ups, generating test cases from UI sketches and features/stories)
Scaling and partially automating systematic literature review process (e.g., improving paper screening, collaborative and human-the-loop machine cognitive services for research data curation and coding, datasets curation and development, and software prototypes to implement and validate the above techniques)
Scaling and partially automating research artifacts review process (e.g., generating comments on writing, completeness of related work, experimental methods, suggesting benchmarks and datasets)
Integrating storytelling techniques, AI enabled, generative conversational services into computational thinking learning platforms
Scaling and partially automating research funding processes (e.g., Q&A for rules and compliance, suggesting collaborators, curation and creation of onboarding and knowledge articles)
Scaling and partially automating education, learning and teaching processes (e.g., curation and guidance on industry and research internships, generating interactive and conversational onboarding and technical guides)
Integrating storytelling techniques, AI enabled, generative conversational services for creating and composing slides
Integrating storytelling techniques, AI enabled, generative conversational services for creating and composing processes (e.g., RPA processes, data-driven pipelines, ML processes)
Integrating storytelling techniques, AI enabled, generative conversational services for creating and composing processes (e.g., RPA processes, data-driven pipelines, ML processes)
AI enabled, generative and conversational services to empower elderly, people with with reduced cognitive abilities and visually impaired to effectively access services and perform tasks (e.g., Web/app enabled tasks) through voice enabled conversational services.
