I am a senior researcher at the Gheorghe Zane Institute for Economic and Social Research, Romanian Academy, Iasi Branch. I graduated from the University of Mannheim in 2008 with a "Diplom-Volkswirtin" degree and completed my PhD in Applied Microeconomics and Economics of Education at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. From 2013 to 2016, I had the privilege of being a Fellow at the College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research (CIDER), Berlin, Germany.
Examining current economic and societal issues, my research interests span across the fields of economics of education, migration, policy impact evaluation, and the broader domains of wellbeing and health. I specialize in applying cutting-edge statistical and econometric methods to uncover causal effects, providing valuable insights into policy-making and societal improvement.
