Hello,
My name Dennis Noordam and live in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. This site is about some options to improve a Boston Whaler Rage boat, and the work I have performed on this particular Yamaha powered early model. I bought this Boston Whaler last Summer (2012) over in Spokane and so far have had a blast with it fishing and diving in the beautiful lakes and rivers we have up here in North Idaho.
The early model Yamaha powered Boston Whalers Rage are great little boats jet boats for those with specific interests in mind. It's ability to negotiate shallow water environments where there are rocks, sandbars, logs in rivers make it a desirable package for people looking for extended accessibility. I stumbled across the one I purchased - a relatively intact but slightly neglected (and filthy) 1993 model last summer while browsing Craigslist. I didn't even know that a jet drive Whaler existed. It's a perfect for my style of fast moving shallow water salmon fishing. I didn't hesitate to immediately offer a bit under asking price even though I knew I was in for a bit of work. I'm particular and am going to tear it apart after I buy it anyway. These things are a rare find up in the Northwest and I'd have to drive a couple thousand miles back East to find another for sale.
Anyway, this site is about having some fun getting this one cleaned up and ready for hopefully years of Salmon fishing action.
Looking back now and after some clean up and a great Fall Salmon season, I would happily of paid more. Now I hope I dont stack it up on some really shallow rocks in the river chasing giant fish because I know I can't get my hands on another without serious pain.
