Kentucky 4-H, Appaloosa Youth, Well Represented at Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships

The Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships is a competition held every year for 4-H champions to compete against other 4-Her's from 13 states in the Southern Region.

This year, the competition was held in Little Rock, Arkansas from July 29 through August 2. 4-Hers compete in a variety of educational contests including horse judging, hippology (study of the horse), horse bowl, demonstrations, speeches, and the horse show.

This year, Chelsea Whittle represented Kentucky at the Southern Regionals with her individual demonstration, "When Dinner Becomes Deadly," and placed 2nd overall.

The Kentucky State Hippology team, who received a sponsorship from BGSApHC, also fared well. The team, comprised of individuals who placed in the top 5 in the state, included: Katelyn Christian, Brittany Sims, Chelsea Whittle, and Georgia Skelton. Below are their accomplishments.
