Makes about 4 dozen cookies Bake at 375
Ingredients:
1/2 cup softened margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond flavor
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup Renner's Blueberry Knolls Farm Blueberry Jam
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar with mixer.
Mix in egg and almond flavor.
Combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing with each addition.
Divide dough in half. Roll out each half in a rectangle between 2 pieces of waxed paper to 1/4 inch thickness.
Remove top piece of waxed paper.
Spread each rectangle of dough with blueberry jam and sprinkle with the walnuts.
Roll up tightly, and wrap in the waxed paper.
Chill two hours.
Unwrap dough and slice into 1/4 inch segments. I leave one roll in the refrigerator while working with the first roll.
Place cookie slices on greased baking sheets, and bake at 375 for 9 - 12 minutes until very lightly browned.
Remove from baking sheet to cool.
