So you want to join the WiFi backbone at Burning Man, to provide Internet access for your art project, your camp, yourself, and maybe even your fellow Burners? Great! Here's how...

You've basically got 4 problems that you need to solve:

• Uplink -- connecting your camp or project to the backbone
• Line of sight -- antennas, masts, towers, etc.
• Power -- keeping the electrons flowing
• Distribution -- setting up a local WiFi hotspot

Then, once you get to the Playa, follow the instructions on the Connecting to the Backbone page to actually get your device auto-configured and connected to the network.
