We study plant ecology and plant-microbe-soil interactions using field observations, combined with experimental manipulations and molecular tools. Our work is rooted in theory, motivated by current environmental issues and spans from shrublands, saltmarshes, mangroves, peatlands to rainforests. Our goal is to inform invasive species management, conservation and restoration ecology and plant-microbial dynamics.
