I am economist at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO), lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and external research fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization. Before joining the WU in 2016 as assistant professor, I was research fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and research assistant at the University of Kiel, where I obtained my doctoral degree in 2016.
My research interest are in the field of international economics, innovation and development economics. My research focuses mainly on the impact of globalization. I seeks to gain more insights into activities of multinational enterprises, foreign direct investments, trade and innovation activites. Further, I empirically analyze the effect of trade facilitation, infrastructure and foreign aid.
For my research on the impact of foreign ownership on the product mix of acquired firms, I was awarded with the Young Economist award at the annual meeting of the Austrian Economic Association 2019.
