Dr. B. Pattnaik is a young dynamic personality with a proven record of a good academician and administrator having an outstanding academic record. He has obtained his B.Tech degree (Mechanical Engineering) from Mysore University and M.Tech (Production Engineering) with honours from Sambalpur University. He has received his Ph.D in thrust area of Multivariate Quality Control from IIT Kharagpur.
Prior to current Post, he worked as Director and Professor and Head of the Department in different institutes and universities. He has more than twenty years of rich experience as an engineer of industrial machine precision & quality inspector, academician, researcher and administrator of repute.
His research interests are Multivariate Process Control, Multivariate Process Capability Index (Nonparametric), Support Vector Data Description (SVDD), Self Organizing Map (SOM) etc. His recent area of research interest is designing & quality inspection of MEMS Devices using ANSYS.
Dr. Pattnaik has to his credit over twenty five publications in international and national journals and conferences and symposia. He is a regular and sought after speaker in conferences, symposia, workshops and other special academic events and as a Resource Person in Refresher Course Programs for college and university teachers. He has organized several International and National Conferences. He was Syllabus revision committee member of different universities.
Dr. Pattnaik is a Fellow Member of Indian Society of Quality and Reliability in Aerospace and Technologies, India, Member of ISME and life Member of ISTE.
He has guided a large number of M.Tech and B.Tech students. As an academician, he has widely travelled both in India and Abroad and possesses a number of academic distinctions to his credit. He has served many technical institutes and universities in various capacities, especially in both development and implementation of undergraduate programs. He has guided students for Dissertations of Master’s and Undergraduate’s program in different institutions.
