About Me:

I acquired my earlier experience in Agriculture and Plant Breeding & Genetics at KPK Agricultural University Peshawar, Pakistan. I started my practical research work in the field of crop nutrients management and plant breeding for yield and related traits. Then I started working on wheat resistance to different diseases, especially yellow rust. After acquiring graduation at Peshawar, I joined INRA France to work on population biology and population genetics of wheat yellow rust in the group of Claude de Vallaveille-Pope and Jerome Enjalbert.

My interest is Molecular plant Breeding, Biotechnology, population biology, evolution, population genetics and ecology of plants and their pathogens. I want to exploit the information from these areas for development and deployment of disease resistant cultivars, which will enable the improvement of agriculture by tackling crop disease problems.
