Bill Issel

Bill Issel is a historian who studies the role of social class, race, ethnicity, and religion in the politics of American cities, particularly the city of San Francisco. His books, articles, and reviews have been published in the US, UK, and Europe. He is professor emeritus at San Francisco State University and former Fulbright scholar in England, Hungary, and Romania.
