Battle in the Barn 3 on 3 Tournament
Oct 24 - 26, 2025
Format:
*Jerseys will not be provided - you must bring your own jerseys.
*Game format is 3 on 3 Plus a Goal Tender
*All teams must have a minimum 7 skaters/maximum 8 skaters with 1 Goaltender
*There will be a 5 minute warm up (Time permitting). Teams must be on time and ready to go.
*The games will consist of 2 straight time, 15 minute periods with 1 minute intermission between periods.
*Games will NOT end in a tie - There will be a 5 minute Sudden Death straight time OT Period. Once a goal is scored, that team is the winner.
**If no goal is scored in the OT period a 3 player shootout will take place.
*Clock will not stop for any reason except injury.
RULES:
Teams will have 15 minutes to vacate their room, we have limited dressing room space so please vacate as quickly as possible.
After every goal is scored, the team which just scored MUST RETREAT to the RED line. They can attack the team they scored on once they have all cleared the red line.
*If the team that just scored doesn't clear the red line a penalty shot will be awarded to the opposition.
There will be no offside or icing calls.
If the puck is deflected out of play there will be a normal faceoff in the place nearest where the puck went out.
*If the puck was intentionally shot out a delay of game penalty will be called & a penalty shot will be awarded.
If a goalie covers the puck, the offensive (attacking) players, on the whistle, must back off 3 meters. The goalie must move the puck quickly to one of their teammates.
All penalties will result in a penalty shot.
During a penalty shot, the following will occur:
All players on the ice will line up on the opposition blue line than the goalie that is being shot on & down on one knee.
When the shooter crosses the blue line, the DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ONLY may pursue and chase the shooter.
If the player scores the penalty shot, the defensive team gets the puck and the team that just scored must retreat to the red line before attacking again.
If the puck is stopped by the goalie, the shooter must clear the blue line, then all 3 players can forecheck the team backing out.
The player, who the penalty was infringed upon, must take the shot, unless they leave the game due to injury. The coach can pick someone who was on the ice.
There will be no appeals, as all referee calls will be final.
THERE WILL BE NO BODY CONTACT. Any contact other that incidental will result in a penalty and a penalty shot will be awarded.
ANY HITTING FROM BEHIND in any manner will NOT be tolerated & any player who does so, will be ejected from the game. Tournament committee will look into the matter for further discipline.
No time outs.
All decisions from tournament committee will be final.
Abuse of officials from any team member or coach is not tolerated and could result in ejection from the game.
The goal of this tournament is to have fun & raise money for our facility!
