Battle in the Barn 3 on 3 Tournament

October 20th – 23rd 2022

Format:

· This Is a Sanctioned Hockey Saskatchewan Tournament

· Jerseys Will NOT Be Provided - You Must Bring Your OWN Jerseys

· Every Team Must Have At Least THREE First Years

· Game Format Is 3 On 3 Plus a Goaltender

· All Teams Must Have Minimum 6 Skaters & Maximum 7 Skaters With 1 Goaltender

· All Teams Will Be Guaranteed a Minimum of 4 Games

· There Will Be a 5-Minute Warm-Up (Time Permitting), Teams Must Be Ready & Waiting to Go on The Ice

· The Games Will Consist of 2-Straight Time, 15-Minute Periods With a 1-Minute Intermission Between Periods

· Games Will NOT End in a Tie, There Will Be a 5 Minute Sudden Death Straight Time Overtime Period, as Soon as a Goal Is Scored the Game Will Be Over & The Team That Scored the Overtime Goal Will Be the Winner

· If No Goal Is Scored in The Overtime Period & The Game Is Still Tied After Overtime a 3-Player Shootout Will Take Place

· Clock Will Not Be Stopped for Any Reason Except for An Injury

Rules:

· A Hockey Saskatchewan Certified Coach Must Be Present on The Bench at All Times

· Dressing Room Supervision Is Expected & Should Be Ensured by The Team

· Teams Will Only Have 15 Minutes After Their Game to Vacate Their Dressing Room, We Have Limited Dressing Room Space So Please Bear with Us

· After Every Goal Scored, The Team, Which Has Just Scored, Must Retreat to The Red Line: Then They Can Attack the Team They Just Scored on After Their Entire Team Has Cleared the Red Line.

Hint: Teams That Have Just Been Scored on Must Regroup Quickly & Breakout of Their Own Zone Quickly Before Opposing Team Fore-Checks Them

· If The Team That Just Scored Does Not Clear the Red Line a Penalty Shot Will Be Awarded to The Opposition

· There Will Be No Offside or No Icing Calls

· If The Puck Is Deflected Out of Play There Will Be a Normal Face-Off in The Place Nearest to Where It Went Out

· If The Puck Was Intentionally Shot Out, a Delay of Game Penalty Will Be Called & a Penalty Shot Will Be Awarded

· If a Goalie Covers the Puck, The Offensive (Attacking) Players, On the Whistle Must Back Off 3 Meters; The Goalie Must Move the Puck Quickly to One of His Teammates

· All Penalties Will Result in a Penalty Shot

· During a Penalty Shot the Following Format Will Be Used:

· All Players on The Ice Will Be Asked to Line Up on The Opposite Blue Line Than the Goalie That Is Being Shot On & Down on One Knee

· When The Shooter Crosses the Blue Line, They Are Attacking the Defensive Players Only May Pursue & Chase the Shooter

· If The Player Scores on The Penalty Shot the Defensive Team Gets the Puck & The Team That Just Scored Must Have All Three Players Clear the Red Line Then They May Attack Again, Just Like If They Scored a Regular Goal

· If The Puck Is Stopped by The Goalie on a Penalty Shot the Shooter Must Clear the Blue Line, Then All Three Players Can Fore-Check the Team Breaking Out

· The Player, Who the Penalty Was Infringed On, Is the Only One Able to Perform the Penalty Shot, Unless That Player Leaves the Game Due to An Injury the Coach Can Choose Another Player That Was on The Ice When the Penalty Was Called To Take The Penalty Shot

· Failure To Line Up Quickly Could Result in a Second Penalty Shot

· There Will Be No Appeals as All Referee Calls Will Be Final

· There Will Be No Body Checking in Any Division. Any Contact Other Than Incidental Will Result in A Penalty & a Penalty Shot Will Be Awarded.

· ANY HITTING FROM BEHIND In Any Manner Will Not Be Tolerated & Any Player Who Does Hit Anyone from Behind Will Be Ejected Out of That Game & The Tournament Committee Will Look Into The Matter For Further Discipline

· There Will Be NO TIMEOUTS Allowed

· All Decisions of The Tournament Committee Are Final

· Abuse Of Officials from Any Member of The Team Including Players or Coaches Could Result In The Team Being Ejected From The Tournament!

· Last Word of Advice to Everyone Including Spectators Is Have Fun!
