Letters of Recommendation
ALWAYS ask a teacher if he/she will be willing to write you a letter BEFORE you submit their name to an on-line institution or summer camp.
Please note if there is a specific area of interest you are applying for.
Give the letter writer enough time to write you a good letter-- let them know the due date!
Writing a letter of recommendation requires input from you. I spend a good amount of time on each letter—trying to be as specific as possible. In order to do that, I need you to answer the following questions before I write your letter.
What classes have you taken with me and when?
What specific activities or units did we work on in class that really resonated with you? Give an example.
What shows have you done with me and what was your part? List in chronological order - or attach your resume. (Roles or positions you found particularly meaningful and why.)
Cast? Specific Role.
Crew? Specific role.
What do you plan to major in or study in college?
