Pamela S. Bracken

BRACKEN Pamela S. Bracken, 55, of Lexington, KY passed away on May 15, 2011 at her home. She was born at Fort Benning, GA, daughter of the late Peter and Patricia Bracken. Her early years were spent in Oakland, NJ where she was member of Ponds Reformed Church and was active in Girl Scouting in her youth and later as a leader. Pam was a dedicated employee of The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and most recently at Lexington Cardiology Consultants. She was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church, where she loved playing handbells in the Chime choir and was active in the Meade Shotwell Circle. Pam loved her family and enjoyed watching her nephews and niece in their sports and other activities. Survivors include sister, Paula, brother Peter (Lyn) of Lexington, brother Paul (Jeannette) of Paris, 4 nephews Dan (Amy), Jeff (Mary), Matt (fiancé Megan) and Liam, and niece Kara. Katheryn Ann Patterson

GLASGOW - Katheryn Ann Patterson, 62, Lexington, died Fri, April 15, 2011, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. A native of Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Patterson and Nancy Jane Sullivan Patterson. She was a graduate of Glasgow High School and the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree. She had been a pharmacist at the University of Kentucky for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, and her step-mother, Ruth Patterson. Survivors include one sister, Sue Humphrey and her husband David of Lexington; two nieces, Nancy Grayson and husband Trey of Walton, KY, and Wendy Vanmeter and husband Chris of Lexington; one nephew, Jonathan Humphrey of Lexington; three great-nieces, Alexandra Grayson, Katheryn Grayson and Caroline Vanmeter. She is also survived by two step-sisters, Linda Branstetter and husband Steve of Summer Shade, and Kaye Cardwell and husband Kenny of Bowling Green; step-niece and nephews, Amber Huffman and husband Chris, Bart Branstetter and Matt Cardwell; step-great-nephews, Colton and Cade Huffman; along with many wonderful friends and work associates, Susanne Norman, Mary Varnell and Jan Thompson. Funeral services will be held 10.am Thu at the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Wed at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9am Thu at the church. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2409 Members Way, Lexington, KY 40504.

Susie A. Cavanaugh

September 27, 1949 - March 21, 2013

Susie Atlene Cavanaugh was born the fourth child of the late Nancy Martin Cavanaugh and Plomer Cavanaugh on September 27, 1949. She grew up in the small rural town of Cadiz in far Western Kentucky. She attended public schools in Trigg County after which she matriculated to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Welfare. In 1973, she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Kentucky. Ms. Cavanaugh received Rank I, Certification in Secondary Administration and Supervision in1985 and returned to University of Kentucky in 1989 to complete a minor and certification in History.

Jane Rhodes Justice, wife of D. Mack Justice died at her home Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.

She was born in Lexington, a daughter of Charles Dover Rhodes, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Baynham Rhodes. She is the beloved mother of Leslie Wilson Miller (Joe), Lexington and Jenny Wilson Frey (John), Danville. Other survivors include a sister, Leslie Baynham Rhodes, Lexington and a brother, Charles Dover Rhodes, III of Hanover, PA.; one niece, Elizabeth Baldwin Justice (Patrick), Lexington and three nephews, Craig Bogert Baldwin, Jr. Sandpoint, ID, Frank Frazee Wilson, III (Cathy) and Phillip Kirkpatrick Wilson of Lexington.

She was the daughter of Elmon Jerome Booth, Middletown, OH and Yvonne Popplewell Johnson, Russell Springs, KY. Sherry was also a member of Twin Pines Christian Church in Lexington, KY, Down to Earth Garden Club, Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support Groups and was a graduate of Midway College.

Mary Gay Lake, 63, of Frankfort, retired Internal Policy Analyst for the Cabinet for Health and Human Services, died peacefully surrounded by her son and her faithful friends on Saturday, August 2 at her home.

Born in Midway, she was a daughter of the late Wilber Stephens and Birdie Jones Hackney. Mary Gay was a faithful member and Elder of the First Christian Church of Versailles.

Myrtle Victoria Perry “Vicky” Stephens, 64, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

She was born January 30, 1951, in McCreary County, Kentucky, to Frank C. and Ola Bryant Perry, both of whom preceded her in death. Vicky had retired from the Fayette County School System where she had worked in the cafeteria. She was a faithful member of White Hall Baptist Church.

Elizabeth “Betty” Gardner Luckett, 60, of Versailles, died Thursday July 7, 2011, at UK Markey Cancer Center in Lexington.

She was born in Loretto, the daughter of the late William Paul and Mary Elsie Gardner. She was a retired member of the Kentucky Teachers Retirement System and she served as teacher, counselor and administrator in Woodford County for 24 years.
