Mrs. Julie Dietle Colbert, BGHS Class of 1976, has been the Bowling Green Middle/High School librarian for the past 27 years. She first began working for the school district full time in 1994. Prior to her life as a school librarian, she worked for Missouri Life magazine and Digest Publishing Company. Mrs. Colbert received her Bachelor's of Journalism degree in 1980 from the University of Missouri - Columbia. While an undergraduate and grad student, Mrs. Colbert worked at Ellis Library on the Mizzou campus.  Little did she realize that her work experience at the Ellis Library circulation desk, shelving and reserve desk would come in handy later in life.  After the birth of her first son, Mrs. Colbert chose to be a stay-at-home mom for ten years. Mrs. Colbert returned to graduate school to earn her elementary education certification as well as her school librarian certificate.

Mrs. Colbert and her husband, Roger, have three adult sons, Robert Caleb, Jacob Roger and Ethan Andrew. In addition, they have two daughters-in-law, Lindsey Penick Colbert and Jodi Pupillo Colbert.  Mrs. Colbert adores her four grandchildren, Evelyn Grace Williams, 10; Margaret Elizabeth Colbert, 3 years; Evan Matthew Colbert, 2 years, and John-Jacob (aka JJ) Colbert  (1 day old).  Mrs. Colbert  loves Max, the grand-dog black lab too.  Mrs. Colbert has two fur babies at her home that she loves; Dixie, her rescued yellow lab and rescued farm cat, May Day, who showed up on the Colbert doorstep on May 1 (hence the name). Dixie was also dropped off near her farm.

Jessi Pazdera,  Assistant Librarian

jpazdera@bgschools.k12.mo.us

Mrs. Pazdera graduated from Iron County C-4 School District in 2013. Since then, she has held many positions including : Dietary Worker, Certified Nurse Assistant, Daycare Teacher, Head Start teacher , and previously before her employment with the BGR1 school district, was employed at Lillian Schaper State School in Bowling Green, MO.

Jessi and her husband Bryan have lived in Bowling Green for 2 years, relocating here from Montgomery City for Bryan's job as a mechanic with Boland Chevrolet.  They are still somewhat "newlyweds" as their wedding was held in October 2020 -- boy was that a crazy time to plan a wedding!  Last July, they welcomed their first child, Adelyn or Addy for short.  She is the light of their life, and is the reason Jessi was brought to the Bowling Green School district.  Upon  Adelyn's arrival, there was a scarce amount of daycare available in the area, so Jessi was forced to leave her job.  With great  luck, she saw an open position for the school as an assistant librarian which included childcare! The Pazderas also share their home with two cats, Leon and Bella, as well as their dog,  Maya.
