L’Hexagone: French Baroque Chamber Music
Main Line Early Music presents La Bernardinia and guest violinist Edmond Chan in a program of chamber works by Leclair, Rebel, Hotteterre, DeMachy and Le Roux composed for violin, recorder, viola da gamba, and harpsichord. "L'Hexagone" refers to both a nickname for France based on the shape of its borders and the multifaceted variety of its chamber music as heard in this concert's character pieces, dance movements, and chaconnes.
